My friend and I met for lunch here today. We were able to enjoy the glorious weather and people watching along with the totally satisfying food. I had a delicious coconut milk shrimp soup; my friend had the same but with tofu, and we shared mixed appetizers. Really hit the spot. Would definitely return if in the area.

Really lovely food, nice ambience, we ate early so was quiet to start but picked up and a nice buzz. Very friendly staff, efficient and unobtrusive service.

We stopped here for an evening meal on a rainy night in December. The staff were very friendly and gave us plenty of time to make our selections from an extensive menu. The service was good and the starters arrived quickly. The main courses were delivered efficiently and were large portions and very tasty. We had Kai Phad Krathiam and... More

A great meal, full of flavour. I had the Tom Yum chicken soup, whilst my wife had the fish cakes to start. Both delicious. We shared main courses of red curry chicken with fried rice and chicken Phad Thai. Both had distinctive flavours and very filling. All complimented by lovely, attentive staff and a lovely bottle of Pinot Noir.

A good enough Thai restaurant in the red light district. Food is tasty and portions r big enough, tho nothing extraordinary. Service provided by the staff is friendly and correct. Recommended for an easy lunch or dinner.

Not our first visit and we've never had a bad meal. A busy restaurant with lots of atmosphere and some great Thai food at sensible money for the centre of Amsterdam. A varied menu with reasonable vegetarian options. Friendly staff.

We have visited this restaurant on a few occasions and it never fails to disappoint! Aromatic Thai curry every time! Unfortunately we are creatures of habit when it comes to Thai food (red curry for me and green for my husband ) perhaps next time we'll be more adventurous (but it's sooooo good) Waiter is always friendly and service is... We stumbled across this place while just wandering around the local district and decided to have a bite to eat. The food was really good and the service was fast. We only had hot starters and soup which were lovely and filling.

Staying in Red Light District (De Wallen)

Neighbourhood Profile
Red Light District (De Wallen)
To visit Amsterdam and not explore De Wallen (the Dutch name for this area) or to go only to gawk at its saucier aspects would mean missing the opportunity to view some of the city’s most picturesque canals, historic landmarks, and impeccably presented examples of traditional local architecture – not to mention Amsterdam’s own Chinatown, Europe’s largest Buddhist temple and more local treasures. Sure, there are some less salubrious activities drawing the curious to this age-old part of time. Nevertheless, the Red Light District is still a very safe and incredibly fascinating area where at the turn of a corner you can be transported from the dingy glow of modern day neon red to a glorious 16th century Delft blue dreamscape.
