Nice location, particularly with the windmill nearby, but not really a great place for a beer. Nice outdoor area, but the vibe, and the service, weren't all that fantastic.

It is a nice place to visit, as there is a typical dutch windmill next to it. The food is good and they have very good beer too.

Just a great place to have a drink in the summer season. Right next to the water with a good view of the wind mill, nice waiting staff and a nice range of beers to order. The place is literally called cafe "thirsty" and that basically says it all I guess.

I live in Amsterdam and joined friends at this bar. Beer selection is great, you can tell that the pipes, temperature etc of the draft beers is looked after well. Finally an owner who actually thinks this is important towards the taste... Male owner behind the bar helpful and good sense of humor. Only point of attention could be peanuts... More

Came here for a quick beer before heading back to the airport. The barman was super helpful with our choices of beer and food. He even suggested we move our car so that we wouldn't get a ticket. Great experience.

Waiting for the brewery to open we decided to get some quick lunch. Very inexpensive lunch but delicious lunch. I love the fresh mint tea and the tuna sandwich. Love all the presentation. Bathroom is a bit small and the floral decoration is beautiful. 😊

I have never been treated so bad in all my life! The owner (a big 50' lady) of the restourant was very impolate, and while we were trying to explain that the weitress did an understandible mistake the owner almost shouted and talked to us like we were stupid., complaining instead of understanding the problem. Description below on the events.... More

Cafe Dorst has been our favourite local bar for years. The sunny terrace, sweet owners and staff, great beers - try a Zatte from Brouwerij 't Ij, it tastes even better in the sun ;) The food menu is limited to tasty snacks to go with your drinks, and a couple of good sandwiches. But hey, it's a bar, not... More

We went here to eat lunch before visiting the Brouwerij't IJ. The menu was ok. We had the salmon sandwich which was ok. The outdoor seating was perfect with seatings both in the sun and the shadow. I would not come here on a rainy day because the indoor environment was not appealing at all.
