A family-ran Indonesian restaurant, friendly service, nothing flashy about the interior. The rijstafels looked tempting, but as we were not so hungry we decided to order a la carte. Many of the dishes were more Indian inspired than typical Indonesian. The food itself was quite disappointing. Despite our explicit request, both fish and meat were way too spicy, killing most... Never had such good Indonesian Food. The ambiente is ok. Nothing spectacular. But the prices are reasonable and the food was delish!

Enjoyed a lovely early dinner here. Obviously a family run business. Unfortunately we weren't hungry enough for the ristafel, but flavoursome freshly prepared food. Good service. Reasonable prices too.

We found this restaurant as soon as we stopped off the #16 Tram in Amsterdam. It was in the de Pijps area not far from our apartment, and we put it on the visit list for as soon as we got settled. As our first foray into Indonesian food, we decided to both order the whole nine yards with the... More

The meal was superb, not overly spiced when not necessary, spiced to perfection when required. The service was friendly, but the food was a long time coming. Would highly recommend if you r not in a rush.

We had the rice table which was plenty of food, tasty, not too spicy and the service was fantastic. Along with imported Bintang - a great meal.

We arrived by accident on our walkabout looking for dinner. The food served to the folks sitting at the window table looked very tasty, so we stepped inside. It was quiet enough for conversation and pleasantly appointed. Ordered Rice Tafel that included lamb, beef, tempe, & chicken dishes. We enjoyed it all. The meats were decent quality, soup was tasty.... More

Having traveled to Amsterdam to sample some different cuisines and culture, I have to say I found this establishment below par, I'm afraid. It has nothing to do with the staff, who were friendly and spoke good English, although we tried speaking some Dutch and most people in Amsterdam seem to speak English any how. The service was quite speedy... More

One of the highlights of our short visit to Amsterdam was the fabulous rijsttafel we enjoyed here. Every one of the dozen or so dishes was fantastic. The variety of flavours & textures made a wonderful experience. Excellent service, & a pleasant atmosphere completed the package. Hope to return some day.

The restaurant's decor is quite simple. However, their food cannot be judged by its decor. The menu is in both Dutch and English. When we were unsure about anything in the menu, the friendly waiter was there to assist and he spoke good English. The waiter was also honest as we actually wanted to order the apple juice but he...
