There is a simple choice of three couscous plates: vegetarian (EUR9), with merguez (EUR 12) and with merguez and lamb (EUR15). All with an option of lentil sauce. Dessert is Tarte Tatin. Wine choice is limited to white or red. The quality is good for the price. The setting is somewhat Parisian. The owner, who is actively trying to please... More

I visit this restaurant everytime I go to Ámsterdam, maybe for the past 4 years. 3 choices of cous cous. One is vegeterian option. It is a real north african cous cous. Small but warm place. The owner is there always worried about everything. He is a very nice guy. There is a lot of regular costumers. Probably the best... More

The food here is superb . Vegetarians are well catered for as well as carnivores. I very much enjoyed the atmosphere - Wouter, the chef, is very friendly, his lovely, charming assistant, also - whenever I'm in Amsterdam I will return to the Couscous Club. So much better, it should be added than the more prominent Middle Eastern restaurants -... More

This is a cozy place with a Parisian setting, or rather sitting. So somewhat cramped, or rather with the other eaters very close to you. I happened to be seated near to a nice person which made us talk about all kinds of things. As for the food: clean and simple couscous in three variations, starting with veg, thru merguez... More

Like other reviewers have said the restaurant only has three choices which is basically a choice between vegetarian or some added meat. You get a lot and the meal is really warm and tasty. Our enjoyment was cut short when we heard the cook discussing how they expected a tip from us which is not something we need to hear

A work colleague recommended the Couscous Club for a business dinner gathering. There were three offerings on the menu, one of which was vegetarian - my choice for the evening. A very large portion, fresh, absolutely delicious (and a great value). Paired with a bottle of nice Tunisian red wine and the meal was almost complete; the homemade apple tart... More

I didn't feel that this restaurant has something good to offer. I've passed by many times on my way home and when I finally tried the cuising, it was mid-average; the atmosphere although it has potential, it's not really cozy and the people although very kind and service oriented, it felt like they were disconnected from the restaurant.

A nice place to have a meal before or after a film at the nearby arthouse cinema Rialto. Friendly place - good couscous and good value.

The best couscous I've ever tastes Came here on a Friday night and the place was packed but luckily a couple was just vacating. I had the cous cous royal - €15 but I was absolutely stuffed at the end of the meal. The cous cous and lamb stew was so nice that I literally inhaled the food! My wife... More

I come here often. It's a great place for a simple and not too expensive dinner. The food is exactly what you see on the picture - Couscous with seasonal vegetables, and merguez sausages or extra meat if you want. Make sure to get some harissa and lentil sauce with your couscous for extra taste.
