Our guide Remmie recommended this place as having really good fries, actually the best fries. He was not wrong. They are the best fries and they have a large selection of sauces. We could not bring ourselves to put mayonnaise on them and went for the cheddar cheese in stead on our first order and on our second. We couldn't... More

You will maybe wait for a few minutes, but it is worth it. The chips are crunchy, and they will stay it even with the sauce on them. I had Joppiesauce, my favourite for chips anyway, and it was also great. Keep frying, guys!

... it is very difficult to get bad fries in Amsterdam. So also this tiny, centrally located shop makes no particular difference compared to other friet booths. What makes the difference is the huge variety of sauces the guys who run the shop with visible ambition are offering. Difficult to make a recommendation on a particular topping, maybe you try... Takeaway - fries only. They are damn near perfect though. Staff is friendly, told them I wanted a small portion. They made a mistake and gave me a normal portion instead. I told them i'd pay the difference, but I didn't have too. If you are a tourist, go here and enjoy the taste how real fries should taste! If... More

My hotel had cards on display for various Amsterdam restaurants and museums. I mistakenly thought this place was the one on the card which provided a free topping. The very kind shop owner told me it wasn't the shop on the card but honored it anyway. Very decent of him. The fries were reasonably priced and very good. Had numerous... More

I was walking in that area and just found this fries shop. I got the big portion ate in few minutes... It was amazing. So crispy. Amazing. But then I had a stupid idea to order another portion and that was a mistake! Don't get tricked, just enjoy one portion ... that's more than enough. Definitely recommend

In this nice little street, a small shop offers the best fresh fries in Amsterdam, with friendly service. Don't miss it !

The owners or workers (can't tell) are nice and the fries are amazing and perfectly crispy.. for €3 it's a great deal. We were recommended the joppiesaus, which was kinda sweet and creamy

Whilst planning our next return to Amsterdam, came across this in the best restaurants. Not a restaurant but a take-away for the best chips in town. Just off Spui and very close to the Flower Market, reminds me how much I look forward to returning here every visit. Am arriving 20th December, please stock up on mustard and mayonnaise!!!

We were waiting for a trolley near the flower market when I saw someone pass with a cup of frites from here. Since I was not impressed with the frites I had during this trip in Bruges and we were leaving the next day, we abandoned getting on the trolley just pulling to a stop and went on a search... More
