Great place to grab a bite to eat and enjoy a cafe, beer, or wine. It's a casual order and pick up when they call your number.

For a quick bite to eat, a coffee to warm up, or a beer to relax with this is a nice place to do it. You won't write home about it, but it will do all of the above and in the summer I can imagine it is perfect as it's right in the middle of the park, big outdoor... More

Beware, they will charge your child to use the bathroom even as a paying customer. Make sure your kids go to the toilet before hand!!

This is a very nice place to have coffee, lunch or a drink. A bar and lots of tables inside, a very large terrace and a nice playgarden for children. Good coffee, nice cakes. Freshly made soups and sandwiches. Also some typical Dutch food and drinks.

Great spot for a family in the middle of Vondel Park. Good place to try Dutch-style pancakes. While a little chilly in winter, there's a nice kids playground adjoining the restaurant.

This place is in the middle of a great park, and allows you to bring your picnic or get food from the restaurant (a bit of queue to order, and then you need to wait to be called if the meal is not ready). You have so many activities for kids that they didn't want to leave. We spent a... More

Stopped for a drink when cycling round the park. Not bad and was nice to take a break, however toilets were not free which was a bit odd.

I have been in this restaurant for several times. Last time, on last september in a very sunny day. We enjoy biking in the park and having a break with a very good coffee and a great tunna sandwitch. The waitress was real nice. She even run after me... When i forgot my hat at the restaurant and left the... More

Loved this cafe. The grounds surrounding it were so beautiful. The decked seating area was my favourite looking over the pond and watching the ducks swim by. It was a very family friendly atmosphere and so easy to relax in.

Neighbourhood Profile
Museum Quarter (Museumkwartier)
Top sites to see in this attractive and affluent part of town include the Rijksmuseum and the Van Gogh Museum, to name but two of the highly acclaimed museums of the aptly named Museum Quarter. And if you need a break from all the fantastic art, there’s the Neoclassical Concertgebouw music hall and Vondelpark, the city’s largest park. Shopaholics and luxury brand connoisseurs will love exploring the high-end shopping destinations of PC Hooftstraat, Van Baerlestraat, Cornelis Schuytstraat, and Jacob Obrechtstraat, where even the shop window displays are of museum quality. In the evenings, when the museums close and the daytrippers head home, the area becomes a quiet oasis of calm with a sophisticated and urbane tone.
