This is not for everyone - you do it their way or not at all. There are no menus, just 2 rijkstafel offers, and the patron talks you through - everyone starts with satay, then whatever is on - food is good, service 'relaxed'. Don't...More

This is quite possibly the worst restaurant experience I've ever had the misfortune to live through. We decided to give this place a go because of the interesting decor. It's casual, full of Eastern promise, and seemed very relaxed. Although not as "relaxed" as the...More

Tasty Indonesian food (Mrs Norman's satay is really delicious) and our hosts seemed to enjoy themselves as much as we did (possibly more). A fun place to while away a few hours.

Stumbled upon this place walking the streets of Amsterdam. It was cozy and warm and the food was outstanding. Don't expect to pick and choose what sort of meal you want, but I can guarantee you won't be disappointed with anything you're given. Spicy and...More

This place is an experience. It is owned, I think, by a couple. The lady is Indonesian and the guy is a rather eccentric Dutch man. The place is small with tables close together. You almost have to crawl or squirm into your seat. But...More

very small couple run restaurant-- a great experience- outstanding high quality food, good house wine -- everytime I passed this restaurant after our visit -I smiled! It's Indonesian - but not in the traditional idea but traditional in flavor

The name of the restaurant might sound nice, but if you happen to see it or pass it - do yourself a favour: run, cross the street or walk in the other direction! Me husband and I got dragged by a group of friends who...More

Very good indonesion food. The owner and his wife run the restaurant. She makes all the food herself. The satey is unique and delicious. I have been here several times and have never been dissapointed. It is different than all the standard restaurants which makes...More

We has really great food in a genuine characteristic place with very friendly personal service. And so nice to enjoy a delicious cup of coffee with such good background music. A restaurant you must go and visit if you are in Amsterdam!
