We've heard a lot of good things about green house, so decided to go on our trip to Amsterdam. The atmosphere was brilliant!!! We had a smoke, sat and listened to some music and had a laugh. The staff were really lovely and chatty and it was really reasonably priced, even though the coffee shop is notorious for celebrities going!

Came here yesterday with my friend. The prices were higher than expected but it was still good. I intended to try cheese flavour but they were out so I got NYC Diesel instead.

Would never go there again, the staff are a bunch of terrible racists who makes you feel that you are staying on their beds or something. Seriously the worst coffeeshop in Amsterdam.

We were in Amsterdam for a day and wanted to try out a good coffee shop so we decided to try this place. The short bald guy behind the counter was very rude and disrespectful to us. They sell $6 joints to smoke. I asked the guy if by chance I could pay in US dollars. He said "no,we're not... More

One of the most popular coffee shops in Amsterdam a trip to the Green House is a must. 10 minutes walk from the center of town you'll come across the Green House and with a great selection of weed and hash, there is a flavor for everyone. The staff are helpful and willing to answer your questions. A must if... More

Came here to try the organic chemdog and it was perfect. The taste will be remembered for many years and hopefully I will return towards the end of summer to enjoy again. Very reasonable prices as well considering the high quality of the products they sell.

The lovely staff made sure we were not ignored even though my wife and I stood at the back of the shop the man at the counter made sure we were served on our turn. He gave us a free grinder and offered advice to us noobs. We purchased our product but found somewhere less busy for our drinks and... More

Staying in Red Light District (De Wallen)

Neighbourhood Profile
Red Light District (De Wallen)
To visit Amsterdam and not explore De Wallen (the Dutch name for this area) or to go only to gawk at its saucier aspects would mean missing the opportunity to view some of the city’s most picturesque canals, historic landmarks, and impeccably presented examples of traditional local architecture – not to mention Amsterdam’s own Chinatown, Europe’s largest Buddhist temple and more local treasures. Sure, there are some less salubrious activities drawing the curious to this age-old part of time. Nevertheless, the Red Light District is still a very safe and incredibly fascinating area where at the turn of a corner you can be transported from the dingy glow of modern day neon red to a glorious 16th century Delft blue dreamscape.
