The food was really nice and it came out pretty quick as well considering the amount of people in the restaurant at the time. I would recommend visiting this restaurant as the food is nice and the price is reasonable.

Arrived at 7pm and ordered our food. The food arrived and it was lovely. However a largish group arrived and the staff just couldn't cope. People were waiting 45 minutes just to receive a menu. We waited over half an hour for our plates to be removed. A lot of couples ended up complaining

Had a meal here for our last night in Amsterdam. Staff were quite snooty, I think because we had three children on our table of 6 (aged 15,11 and 8 and well behaved/quiet). Only the adults were given menus and when they came to take the order I asked what the children's options were and was told there was no... More

We were greeted as soon as we walked in the door and the staff were friendly throughout the meal. The food and drinks were great and there was plenty of it. The restaurant is nicely located in Rembrandt Sq.

We arrived in Amsterdam on a Sunday night and walked around looking for somewhere to eat and chose this place at random. Couldn't have been happier with the place, three of us shared the nachos to start and they were bang on, my girlfriend and I then both had a blue cheese burger with bacon and I reckon it was... To be honest we were very hungry on the night we visited Rain and only happened to walk in there because everywhere else was too busy and Rain wasn't so full. BUT after just one bite of our food we both agreed after one bite that the food was amazing, and not just because we were so hungry! The texture,... More

Rain bar, restaurant and club in Amsterdam’s most active café-and-nightlife neighborhood has been hot, hot, hot ever since it opened in 2005. Everything about it gets rave reviews: the menu, the bar, the club, the restaurant and the terrace, oh, and the genuine friendliness of the staff. Décor is tastefully modern with dark wood, leather seating, lilac and violet touches. The ground floor bar and Comfortable Dining Area morph into a club around eleven or so (weekend closing is 4am). The upstairs dining room is also tastefully modern. The truly inventive food is global fusion, like starter of pressing of wild duck and seasonal mushrooms with winter plum and chilli compote, crisp duck salad, foie gras lollipop and balsamic syrup, seemingly-simple main of burger becomes a Wagyu burger (birth certificate available on request) on hazelnut brioche with onion confit, sautéed foie gras, fried duck egg, hand cut chips and home made ketchup. Everything is made fresh here, from the bread to the famous ice creams. Up to 250 can take over the venue. There are three daily changing menus, 4- and 6-course tasting menus and an 8-course gourmet menu. Rain’s philosophy includes delight, refreshment and inspiration, and the hip, affluent crowd who gathers here seems to agree.
