Really good Chinese food, service was good not great and a bit pricey. But the taste and experience was very worth it. Recommended

First of all the place was freezing, I understand the place is on the water but we had to eat with our coats on. There is no customer service, you have to order via an app which isn’t the most straightforward app I’ve used in...the past. Most of the group was happy with their food, I had a bad king prawn that when I bit into it the texture was slimy so had to spit it out. One of our group wanted a particular Chinese dish that wasn’t on the menu, she asked if they could accommodate her order and they could not, so she just had a plate of fries. It was expensive which I don’t mind if the food is excellent and the service is good- but both were lacking. It’s such a shame because the setting is amazing. Get rid of the app and train your staff in customer care!More

The moment you enter via the bridge you are transported to another world! The staff who greated us were friendly, the food was delivered by robot which was hyper cool 🤖 the food was very nice, i especially enjoyed the piggy steamed buns. Would happily...recommend.More

Starters turned up and they were ok nothing amazing had better elsewhere. Ordered Duck for our mains. The waiter sliced it up and took an absolute age in doing so where their was no need and food was getting cold. I already said to him...I wanted it shredded but he still carried on and told me 'the reason English people have duck shredded is because they cant cook duck' hmm excuse me and how rude! when he left the table I did what I wanted to do and shred the duck as I prefer the texture like that and I spent the £40 on it so should be able to have it like I want! he then came over to my table and basically told me off and said I cant do that. So I politely told him that's how I want to eat it. I'm not being funny but im the customer and im right in this instance. I'm not going to be told how to prepare my food! after that they were just all very rude to us the duck wasn't even that nice had far better in UK.More

Very very good and authentic Chinese food!! The Peking duck was to die for….! Perfectly cooked! We did really enjoy our dinner there! Service was perfectly friendly!!

We are in Amsterdam for a few days and this restaurant is close to our hotel. We saw it on the canal boat tour and then realised it was 5 min walk from our hotel. It’s an amazing sight and the first time we tried...to go - without reservations- it was too busy. It’s huge but also popular so I think it’s best to book as it’s fast moving place with high turnover. We went the next day and ordered the banquet for 2. The food was all excellent and hot - so we were happy and thought the quality was good. We went for an early dinner and we’re in a small section and so there were fewer staff so when we were ready to go it took a while to get the bill. The ‘App’ used to order is easy and efficient - but also a bit ‘cold’ as an experience. The waiter took drinks orders etc. we saw the robot waiters but not in our section. You are paying for good food and the experience and for it was fine for a one-off and key part was great in the food - whether the experience side is worth the higher costs is a personal perspective. Overall I would recommend it.More

Absolutely beautiful food and service, once you get used to ordering system which you do through your phone at your table bu scanning the qr code

Fantastic meal, great views , great views, great vibes. Delicious cocktails. App ordering easy although felt strange at first. Highly recommended

My family and I had an incredible dining experience at Sea Palace Chinese restaurant in Amsterdam last February. The food was a gastronomic delight, with every dish showcasing authentic flavors. The Dim Sum was exquisite, and the Ma Po Tofu was incredibly flavorful. However, the...true stars of the meal were the Traditional Roasted Duck and Roasted Pork Sowbelly with crispy skin. They were absolutely perfect, with crispy textures and rich, savory tastes that left us craving for more. The restaurant's ambiance was charming, and the staff was attentive and friendly, enhancing our overall enjoyment. Sea Palace truly offers a culinary journey through the heart of Chinese cuisine. A must-visit for anyone looking for an unforgettable dining experience in Amsterdam.More

Enjoyed a hearty dinner meal at this floating restaurant. Interesting decor and beautiful location at night. Food surprising good - variety of Cantonese/Shanghaiese/Sichuan dishes. Enjoy

The food was really good, the services is terrible. You have to order your own food from your phone, when the staff come to bring the food doesn’t even stay for 30 secs to answer a any questions. Need more staff

Have read other reviews and not sure if this was the same restaurant. Decor is fine tho not a patch on the original in Aberdeen, Hong Kong.(2009) Style of ordering was not for us. Won ton soup was ok but the rest was run of...the mill, pretty bland actually. In fact menu choice was quite poor in our opinion. In U.K. money £119 for 2. ( the soup, 2 chicken thigh main( no breast on menu that we could find) 1 side noodles, one side rice and 2 drinks) A bit hefty even for Amsterdam. By the way the entrance of gangway was littered with over flowing rubbish bins. All in all not a good experience.More

It's lost a lot of its old charm. Poor service and trying to go too digital. Many years ago all staff were dressed in amazing authentic Chinese outfits but now just branded t-shirts. Food is good, albeit a limited menu. But now just a standard...Chinese restaurant, it's lost what used to make it special.More

Very good place but during exhibitions in Amsterdam it’s always busy. I suggest to reserve in advance (even website) and at 10pm the kitchen close. The food is very nice. Duck, dumplings, chicken with peanuts and Chinese beer. Everything on a big restaurant on the...water as a boat.More

Fantastic and authentic Cantonese Dim Sum. Clean, impressive and authentic restaurant with fantastic views over the Amsterdam harbour. Definitely plan to return here again!
