Very modern and chic atmosphere. Staff is extremely service minded and good at their job. The sommelier was fantastic - he did the little extra! We had the chefs menu with wine pairing and it was good.

Since beginning of the nineties regular professional and private location. Historically very interesting. Always up-to-date, wining and dining for all tastes and desires. The food bar is great for just a drink and bite.

The bistrot has a view far better than the restaurant: on an interior garden that was snow-covered as in a fairy tale when we were there. Perfect service from an attentive, young staff. We just had a cup of coffee and shared the lime-meringue pie (served in a crock): delicious.

The food is great and sophisticated. The portions are not very big as in most fancy restaurants, so if you are really hungry you might end up unsatisfied after finished the menu.

Went for a business dinner. The interior is somewhat of an acquired taste. The menu was not offering too many choices, which allows for perfect execution. This was accomplished. Very nicely composed dishes, possibly as in the wagyu oxtail with too much flavor, as was in the sauce with the ris de beau too. Wine list perfect. Service somewhat slow... More

Amazing food! Did the 6 courses with paired wines and was very well worth the money! Interior is lovely! Comfortable, warm and elegant. Staff is simply amazing! Casual chic and what i loved is that they were so "normal", not stiff or formal. They enjoy what they do and serve with personality and charm Did few other michelin star restaurants... More

We received afternoon tea in Bridges restaurant as the library at Le Grand hotel where it is normally served was full. We were very grateful to be accommodated as we turned up as guests of the hotel without booking - and what a fantastic afternoon tea it was! Four different teas were served, to complement each course. The sandwiches were... More

Description
Bridges Inspired by Ron Blaauw Bridges seafood restaurant is located at the front of Sofitel Legend The Grand Amsterdam, the location and the building are special. Bridges restaurant is all about fish! The best 'fins' possible, caught at the best moment. Always in season, never out of it. We offer a large selection of mainly Dutch seafood, whether it is in the restaurant, the Bar or the Cocktail Bar. Local, organic vegetables complement the seafood; a perfect match of the sea meeting the land, with a French twist. The Wine Room is stocked with 'great whites'; fish just needs good 'vins'.

Staying in Red Light District (De Wallen)

Neighbourhood Profile
Red Light District (De Wallen)
To visit Amsterdam and not explore De Wallen (the Dutch name for this area) or to go only to gawk at its saucier aspects would mean missing the opportunity to view some of the city’s most picturesque canals, historic landmarks, and impeccably presented examples of traditional local architecture – not to mention Amsterdam’s own Chinatown, Europe’s largest Buddhist temple and more local treasures. Sure, there are some less salubrious activities drawing the curious to this age-old part of time. Nevertheless, the Red Light District is still a very safe and incredibly fascinating area where at the turn of a corner you can be transported from the dingy glow of modern day neon red to a glorious 16th century Delft blue dreamscape.
