While visiting Amsterdam, we were looking for a place to eat for our large family of 6 with kids 5 to 15 years old. Alfonso's is where we went after looking at TripAdvisor and looking for something the kids would also enjoy. We order 3 kids platters and 3 for adults. The kids all loved the beef and chicken burritos... More

This is a simple Mexican restaurant in Amsterdam with a variety of dishes well made and wroth good portions. The guacamole is very good and the sizzling fajitas are very tasty. There is a kids menu also. You will leave happy and full.

excellent food with excellent service. I would advise you to visit alfonsos for a mexican dish with family or friends. I visited the restaurant with my family, we ordered fajitas and the steak. Both choices were exquisite and on top a wide range of wines at a reasonable price

Tired after a long day of touring we popped in for a quick bite. Having lived in the Southwest USA, we are picky about our Mexican food, but thought we would give it a chance. We were very surprised at how delicious our choices were. The test of good Mexican is the salsa. Alfonso's salsa lived up to the test.

The positive aspect of Alonzo's is that the servers and manager are professional, efficient and sincerely friendly. The negative is the food. Nothing tasted fresh. It would be surprising to find that any item on the menu was made from scratch. The tortilla chips surely came out of a bag and didn't taste authentic. The salsa was bland. The jalapeño... More

My partner and I love Mexican food, so Alfonsos was the obvious choice. I ordered the fajitas & my partner the chilli, both meals were delicious. The service was reasonably quick & the staff were all very friendly. Overall dinner was great (at a very good price), and the atmosphere very pleasant, but if it had been rammed busy this... More

The food was okay but expensive for what you get. Also the service was quite slow. They don't have many dairy-free/vegan options.

Alfonsos is a nice restaurant located in the old city of Amsterdam. As you enter the place you are welcomed by a magnificent setting and a nice Mexican atmosphere. The menu offers a wide variety of mouth watering dishes, for example delicious faijtas and chimichanga. The food was fresh and was served quickly. Also the people serving you were polite.... More

The food was great, nice portions not too big or too small. The service was fast and friendly. When we're in the neighborhood we'll definitely eat here again.
