Made a booking for a Friday evening and very glad we did as it was pretty much full. Seemed to be mostly locals, great atmosphere and super professional service from Alex, Nicky and the rest of the team. The food was made with great care...and of amazing quality, we thought it was excellent value for money. If you’re looking for an authentic Italian meal in a charming and cosy restaurant, go here.More
Pretty intimate restaurant with great atmosphere. We had the most delicious starters of burrata and chicken wings. Mains were great and quite big portions. You have to have the tiramisu, was outstanding!! Would highly recommend the visit, fairly priced and would go back anytime.
If you're willing to travel a little out of the centre, Eddy Spaghetti is a real gem. Fresh pizza, pasta, and great drinks. Small menu but everything delicious. Would recommend the prawn pasta especially. Super reasonable prices and the playlist is chill.
We visited Eddy Spaghetti for a cosy date night and it was absolutely perfect. It’s an intimate candlelit setting but doesn’t try too hard. The staff were really attentive and service was prompt. The food was fantastic - simple food done really, really well. Definitely...worth the trip.More
After a week of walking all over Amsterdam for dinner and enjoying some outstanding and sumptuous cuisine, I sought something closer to my hotel, quick, and simple. Based on the recommendation of another external review, what I found at Eddy Spaghetti was all of that...plus a delicious and well-presented meal by very friendly and attentive staff in this small, cozy neighborhood Italian restaurant. Just as I was seated, the two women at the table adjacent to mine had their meals delivered. Based on the sights and smells of what I saw, I was strongly influenced and ordered the All’arrabbiata Tricolore. It was a knockout choice: delicious and with a healthy but good kick and bite from the chilis. I quickly devoured and enjoyed it all, using the fresh slice of baguette to clean up every last bit of sauce on the plate. Whether you're in Amsterdam East or are coming from elsewhere, if you're craving Italian, Eddy Spaghetti is worth the visit. While I was easily seated as a party of one on a Friday evening at 6:30PM in their nearly empty dining room at that time. By the time I left 30 minutes later, every table was full. I'd recommend a reservation.More
I ate here the evening before the Amsterdam marathon. It’s a cosy, friendly and unpretentious local Italian restaurant. The starter of mixed antipasti was very good. The mains of carbonara and Neapolitan pizza were average. I felt the staff were not coping well in a...busy nightMore
Nice restaurant and very friendly staff. We had dinner outside in the terrace with heat lamps, but there is also a small indoor space. Pizza was good!
Visited recently one evening as we were staying in a local hotel. Lovely location, great service and the food was delicious. We had to sit inside as the outdoor seating area was full but it was intimate and not too noisy despite being seated next...to the kitchen. Would definitely recommend.More
Went tonight for my wife’s birthday and the food, the atmosphere, the staff were all superb. We had the sampler platter then the Gamberi which had the most amazing prawns and the Arrabiatta which had a lovely heat and ricotta.
Great little neighbourhood eatery. Lovely pizza. Good value. Service good. Would definitely recommend this place if you are nearby
We went on a suggestion from a magazine and we were disappointed. It was in a suburb of Amsterdam and as 2 ladies would not have felt safe walking back to the center. The menu was limited, with only 1 meat pasta dish. I had...pizza and my friend tomato and mozzarella pasta. It was adequate but not exceptional or worth the walk. The restaurant itself was cosy and we were served by a friendly girl. Would not return.More
Visited on Saturday night at 8.45pm. Shared a bottle of house red and had the aubergine melanzane and a flatbread to shared to start. Gorgeous food. Then had the venison ragu and I had the pumpkin ravioli for main. The most amazing pasta- so tasty...with the lovely hazelnut butter sauce unlike anything I’ve had before. Not a cheap meal but excellent value for money both with the quality of food and service. Would love to return if ever in Amsterdam again.More
I booked a table here for my girlfriend not realising that they had changed the menu and removed the carbonara (my girlfriends favourite food) so I emailed Eddy's explaining that I booked the table hoping to get the carbonara and Kirsten emailed back saying they...would happily make us one even though it wasnt on the menu anymore, my girlfriend and I really enjoyed ourselves and the food was delicious, we will definitely be coming back! Thank you very much!!More
We visited Eddy Spaghetti on the 14th of January 2020 after reading reviews and checking out the menu. We thought to book but wasn’t sure if we’d make it there in the evening after such a busy day! We headed there at around 7.30PM (a...silly time to go without a reservation, we know, but we took our chances as it was a Tuesday night). We popped the address into our maps and walked from our hotel. It was slightly of the beaten track but wow let me tell you, it was worth it... Upon arrival, this cute little restaurant that appeared to be full of Dutch locals was all lit up with fairy lights and had every table full! We were gutted.. However, the man working (possibly manager/owner) came over to us and said we could sit at their bar and we could have a drink and wait for our food after we’d ordered and he’d move us to a table as soon as he could). I ordered a pink gin and lemonade and my boyfriend had a coke. It was lovely to see the open kitchen with the two chefs in. They were doing a brilliant job considering the restaurant was full. The lighting and atmosphere was lovely. We shared the bruschetta to start. It was honestly the BEST bruschetta toppings I’ve ever had - the tomato salsa, mushrooms and mozzarella, and the the mackerel rillete was incredible! After we finished our starter at the bar and then the lovely waiter made up a table for us to move to! We then shared the Extravaganza pizza (which had spicy salami, olives, onion, Parmesan and rocket) and the Di Mare seafood pasta (with mussels and octopus and bread). I loved the pizza, it was thin and crispy and all things Italian. My boyfriend enjoyed it but did however find it slightly too oily. I enjoyed the pasta but found it so much I couldn’t finish it! The sauce however, was delicious so I mopped it all up either he bread on the side. Considering the restaurant was so busy and there were only two staff on, they were incredibly attentive. The food was delicious and it was a lovely atmosphere. It cost us no more than €60 for the two of us and it was so worth it! Recommend for sure!More
