This is a gem worth seeking out. The service is friendly and prompt, the food is tasty and quintessentially Greek, the wines are Cretan. The ambience is taken straight from a Cretan Kafeneion. There is nothing fancy here, except the impact on your taste buds.

We love this place. We love the atmosphere, relaxed, like at home or holiday feeling and at the same time extremely professional. The food is really great, a real authentic cretan atmosphere, fresh and delicious. Big choice of various meals, appetizers, meat, fish, vegetarian, for...More

The problem of having to wait for a table at our first choice restaurant was resolved by a helpful suggestion from a companion. A short walk from the Concertgebouw corner of the Museumplein took us to "I Kriti". I Kriti provided my first experience of...More

Even though I am a bit prejudiced of Greek cuisine outside of Greece I would certainly recommend this tavern. It is loyal to the Cretan roots. You should try the stifado dish. ( Rabbit or beef) The service is so polite you feel like home.

This is definitely family owned and operated. Pictures of the grandsons and granddaughters are posted everywhere. Super cute place, superb food. I had the lamb stew which was out of this world. Wife had a lemony chicken that was amazing. You should come and eat...More

Lovely small 'local' restaurant. Lady at front of house is great, keen to help and make sure you have a good experience. Lamb chops were very good, stews very well done (though beware the cinnamon). Worth a visit. Personally would have liked an option other...More

Very good food, in lrge portions and quite cheap for Amsterdam standards (we paid 25 euros each for starters, main dish, salads, drinks and an unlimited supply of bread). The service was fast, although there is only the owner (a very nice lady) to serve...More
