Visited for dinner last night and absolutely loved everything!! The food is reasonably priced and the portion sizes are huge! Quality of food was high, with a range of interesting dishes on the menu. I absolutely loved the vegetarian dishes. It was my first time eating this cuisine and I will definitely try it again! Beautifully presented and the staff... More

The large kebab skewers on a bed of rice come out in a big bowl, absolutely fantastic, as is the lamb stew that comes with them. Lively place always busy, its on a road that has a street market during the day, and some quirky little shops.

Spacious restaurant in a famous market area. I'm not very enthusiastic with Arabian / Turkish food but I had some good recommendations. The menu is large enough to think about different choices. In my case, lamb, which was OK. Quite expensive for what we ate.

Visited here for lunch after a recommendation from a friend. Whilst we thought the food was ok if a bit bland and salty the service was terrible. No smiles, no thank you, and no ' can I help you?' Will not rush back.

Ontbijt voor twee (breakfast for two) is great variety for brunch-lots of food and very tasty. Coffee and fresh juice to go with it.

In Europe, finding halal meals are rare but it is also where we can find the best Calk Ribs ever. In the heart of Amsterdam in the middle of the Albert Cuypt Market, you will find this special Middle Eastern Restaurant serving all kinds of delicious meats. My favourite and also with many of the guests visiting from all over... More

It's a nice location without pretention. Huge dishes to share. A lot of space not feeling squeezing. Food is delicious and not superficial. I think this is a nice place to be gathered with friends and family. Prices are very affordable

I love this place, they have a lot of different kinds of (Middle Eastern/North African) food. The prices are very low and the quality of the food is great. An amazing place for big groups as well. The breakfast is also amazing.

Staying in De Pijp

Neighbourhood Profile
De Pijp
Bustling Albert Cuypstraat serves as the main drag through De Pijp and the location for Albert Cuyp Market, the largest and most famous of Amsterdam’s many outdoor markets. Beyond this sometimes-frantic thoroughfare, tiny lanes beckon urban explorers in search of the latest trends and hidden gems. Nearly half the residents living in De Pijp are foreigners and a good number of them are students. Here you'll find a multitude of ethnic restaurants, great cafes and bars, and a brilliant array of locally owned shops, all catering to a broad range of budgets and tastes.
