We chose La Festa as we just fancied pizza and a glass of wine on our last night in Amsterdam so looked up Trip Advisor to see what was recommended. Other diners seemed to be a mix of locals and tourists like us. Pizzas were tasty and filling, house wine very acceptable, service friendly, pleasant atmosphere. Definitely recommend.

It's a good pizza for my opinion, but the restaurant is not italian. The menu' has a lot of language mistakes and the staff is not itlalian, but they are nice people. It's not expensive for Amsterdam, so I invite you to go there if you want a good pizza.

Arrived on a busy Saturday evening but managed to bag the last available table! Would definatley recommend finding this place if you're in the area. A nice break from the generic tourist fare around leiseplein etc! Really good steak and pasta and very good portion sizes. Reasonable prices as well!

We ate in a couple of restaurants in Amsterdam and La Festa was the best restaurant we ate in. Amazing Italian food, nice warm place and super nice crew!

We found this restaurant by accident and a stroke of good luck! The food was delicious and totally faultless, chicken was the best I've ever tasted (I had the fillet). Pizza dough was very light and authentic too. They have an excellent wine menu, we opted for merlot which was also very good. The lady who looked after us was... More

It's off the beaten track slightly but so worth it. The food was all beautiful and service was excellent, I'd definitely go back. The house wine was also lovely. Be warned though when eating the steak, they don't ask about how you want it cooked it comes rare every time. This was fine for me as I like it as... More

We visited the restaurant with our three children on a hot day. The place is not air conditioned nor does it have a fan and it was quite hot inside. Beside this, the food and service were very good and all of us enjoyed a nice Italian dinner. Good place to go to for lunch or dinner.

Staying in Jordaan

Neighbourhood Profile
One of Amsterdam’s most preferred outdoor markets and some of the city’s favorite watering holes are but two of the many reasons to save ample time for a stroll through this especially convivial warren of narrow streets with its unfair share of quirky shops and quality galleries. Historically a haven for the working class and emigrants, these days the Jordaan is better known as an enclave for artists and designers. As popular as the Jordaan is as a destination for locals and out-of-towners alike, the area never feels particularly touristy or overrun with outsiders. A highlight even for long-time Jordaan residents, be sure to accept any invitation to step within one of the area’s beloved courtyards or to have a sneak peek inside one of its many working studios.
