Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

I went just before 2pm and managed to get a table without reservation by the window for one. Place was full. I only stopped for a quick coffee perk mme up and was enticed to have an apple pie. Both camme quickly - like well...under 3 mminutes. I wasn't there to linger: I chugged mmy coffee and devoured mmy apple pie in shammelessly no timme -but linger I did for just over 20 mminutes b/c I coukdn't capture any of the 3 wait staff's attention. I waited patiently for anyone of themm to take mmy empty cup and plate away as they briskly walked past mmy table numerous timmes after taking surrounding tables orders, delivering orders, checking on the table in the corner right next to mme that had finished but sommehow I remained unseen, and taking paymments. One glanced at mmy empty cup and plate upon walking past again and it appeared that thet mmight mmake eye contact but it appears they were focusing on their ordering device 2 guests arrived that wanted a table but were toks a 20 mminute wait. I stood and gesturedc& called out but server had back turned and guests didn't notice me either and left out the door. Mmaybe being invisible is another one of mmy new super powers💪🏼 In these 20 mminutescthe restaurant had thinned out quite a bit. Even all 3 servers standing before the coffee counter and 'scanning' the restaurant still took no notice of mme. I finally mmanaged to get one server's attention and indicated that I would like mmy bill I was only responded to in English even though I spoke in Dutxh. While trying to pay, I gather there was a slight language barrier - English, as the server didn't quite understand that I wanted her ro add a tip on the pin mmachine This got figured out. I understand the pressures of a busy service. This was mmy first visit, so I'mm not aware if this is the normm or if this is nee staff, unexperienced, not pro-active or alert or ...just mme waljing after a busy lunch and crew lost their steamm. Food comming past mme looked delicious and priced accordingly. Menu has interesting choices. Loved mmy apple pie and the waiter took the opportunity to cross-sell. I like that they emmploy older generation staff (ine in service at mmy visit.) Mmy understanding is that Blushing and the neighbouring Burger Room are connected -samme ownership? Burger Room service pretty on point! I amm willing to give Blushing another chance- perhaps an off day service wise.More

Cortardo was acceptable but the avocado toast was smothered in a disgusting red spice possibly smoked paprika or chilli - hard to tell. The toast was stone cold the avocado was icy and the poached egg was slimy with undercooked albumen. The menu mentioned that...the avocado contained lemon juice and onion but no mention of the disgusting red powdered contamination all over the whole dish. At least if it was listed as an ingredient on the menu you could ask for it without. Staff were rude and could not care less that the breakfast was inedible and left. Location is convenient for museums. At the very least I would expect staff to notice and offer to replace the breakfast. They did ask if we had enjoyed our meal but were totally disinterested when I indicated my still full plate and said no it was inedible.More

Imagine starting your day eager for a warm cup of coffee, only to end up drenched in it, thanks to Blushing Healthy Food Company. What followed was a morning marred by discomfort and disappointment. The spill was dramatic—my clothes soaked, stained, and ruined, with damages...surpassing €200. Yet, the response was underwhelming: a mere offer to not charge for the spilled coffee and a free cup as compensation. The lack of empathy was palpable, turning a small accident into a glaring display of inadequate customer service. Suggestions to clean my ruined wool jumper, trousers and shirt with dish soap felt like adding insult to injury, showcasing a disconnect from the gravity of the situation. The staff’s casual approach to my discomfort and property damage was startling, leaving me to navigate the rest of my day in coffee-scented attire. This incident wasn’t just about the spill; it was about the response, or lack thereof. It served as a stark reminder that genuine care and proper compensation are crucial in customer service, especially when accidents occur. Unfortunately, Blushing Healthy Food Company missed the mark, transforming a potentially forgivable mistake into a lesson in how not to treat customers. In sum, while the coffee might be inviting, the empathy and care in handling mishaps are sorely lacking. A situation that required a dash of understanding instead left a bitter taste, making it my last visit to Blushing Healthy Food Company.More

A bit of mixed thoughts about this one. Visited today on what must have been an extremely busy day for the establishment. Seated area was packed and the take away counter quite busy. I ordered a hot chocolate, tea and a latte. The latte I...had was really good. What didn't sit well with me is the rather rude staff member behind the counter. There was a couple asking if they could warm their babies milk bottle to which the staff member replied no, there was a language barrier issue but his tone and attitude was really rude. I understood why they couldn't help and chalked his response to stress from business. Then there was a deaf lady next to me who was struggling to order 2 take away cups of tea. One of the friendly waitresses manage to assist her and get the order eventually. When the tea was ready the afford mentioned "rude" staff member handed them to her. The cups were about 3/4 full and she gestured that she would like them filled to the top. To this the staff member replied VERBALLY that that's as full as they make it they won't full it more. Do better.... it's 2024 in Amsterdam. Some tolerance and patience please.More
