We were sat in a bar the other side of the canal having a beer and got chatting to a local lady who recommended eating here, and what a great decision it was. The food was obviously cooked fresh and whilst at first glance the...More

We called in for a few beers as this café is a stones throw away from the Ann Frank Huis which we were going to visit later on the afternoon we called in. This is a friendly, welcoming place with a 'rustic' atmosphere and we...More

Stopped for lunch at Cafe De Prins whilst in the area. A perfect little cafe! We sat outside in the hot sun, next to a canal and the staff welcomed to us immidiately. In doing so, they were so polite and friendly. We didn't have...More

We had a lovely goats cheese salad and a draft beer for lunch - just what we needed. Reasonably priced and excellent quality. We sat outside watching the world go by as we studied our map and guide book. Ideal.

We stopped here for dinner and drinks. We ordered the tomato soup & goat cheese salad as starters. For mains we had a burger and the ravioli. Everything was delicious, prices were reasonable and the service was excellent. One of the best meals we had...More

We sat down at a table next to the canal, and were greeted fairly quickly by a nice young man to take our order. We ordered some of the less expensive items (tomato soup, grilled cheese and ham sandwich, and “cheese sticks”). Everything was very...More

Came here for drinks on a weekend night. It got quite crowded and took a while to order drinks. Walkways are very tight causing people to bump into each other and spill drinks.

The food and juice in here was extremely nice. We came back a few times and the staff are spot on. Thanks for having us!

Cozy cafe with outdoor seating. We sat inside and had the Poffertjes (small puffy pancakes with butter and powdered sugar). Delicious.

Old style pub ambience. Good selection of beers. Food good, not great, typical pub. Try the pancake dessert!

One of Amsterdam’s most preferred outdoor markets and
some of the city’s favorite watering holes are but two
of the many reasons to save ample time for a stroll
through this especially convivial warren of narrow
streets with its unfair share of quirky shops and
quality galleries. Historically a haven for the
working class and emigrants, these days the Jordaan is
better known as an enclave for artists and designers.

Cafe de Prins is to be found on one of the most beautiful stretches of the Prinsengracht. Across from the Westerkerk (Western Church) and the Anne Frank house, on the edge of the Jordaan, it is surrounded by history. This... More
