The ambience was cozy and comfortable as soon as we arrived. Beautiful aesthetic. Prior to dinner we had drinks at the Pulitzer hotel bar which was an amazing. Drinks and bar team were fantastic and attentive great vibe. The dinner was fantastic started with a...few appetitzers - sourdough bread and butter, shrimp croquettes, and the crab toast. The shrimp croquettes, lightly fried bites stuffed with shrimp, were our favorite of the apps. We then shared the Ribeye and Mushroom Ravioli plates… both were incredible, and we would order again. The staff was very informed, gave great recommendations, and offered the perfect wine pairing for each dish. The staff also worked well as a team and were very attentive. The only slight criticism to offer is our waiter was a bit pushy on trying to continue with ordering further entrees and wine when we had had our fill. Nonetheless, overall wonderful experience. Perfect for a date night.More

Awesome in all regards. The location, in the Hotel Pulitzer (in the Jordaan) is excellent, the service was amazing and the food was perfect. We had the fish special and then the Ravioli and both were outstanding. Service from the moment we arrived was world-class....Our server at the table was a young man called David, who gave us amazing recommendations for the wines to pair with our food. We will return.More

This was a lovely dinner in the Pulitzer Hotel in Amsterdam. The venue and menu are both classically done. We ordered aubergine, served with hummus and more, for starter, steak and fries and sea bass for mains and finished with peanut butter sundae. All of...the dishes were full of flavour and beautifully presented. Service was spot on and for 150 euros, together with a couple of glasses of Malbec, the prices weee fair enough.More

The food was wonderful, and the service was outstanding. Jazz is a lovely restaurant attached to the storied Pulizer Hotel. We were celebrating, so we booked one of the semi-private rooms, and the atmosphere was cozy and quiet. The staff were knowledgeable, friendly and efficient....From the starters to dessert, it was lovely. Each of us was delighted by the food and didn't want the evening to end. Afterwards, we wandered around the beautiful, old Pulizer hotel. Highly recommended. One note, the minimum spend for a semi-private room is 350, and our room looked like it could seat about 6 people with that table, but there was room for a larger table.More

Great restaurant in the heart of Amsterdam for any meal! We ate breakfast here most days we were in Amsterdam and dinner one night. When we went for dinner, we got leeks with goat cheese, lamb with potatoes, a fresh zucchini salad and roasted eggplant...with hummus. The food was delicious all around and the atmosphere is also lovely. The staff was helpful and very efficient.More

Excellent food and a beautiful setting. However we were put on a corner table which my husband just had a view of the private dining room and a wall. We also had a table next to us with a particularly loud person on, I know...this isn’t the restaurants fault but it kind of killed the atmosphere. I think they should loose the corner table, no one would want to sit here! Typical British though we suffered in silence and moaned about it after, we should have asked to move at the time! Great food and wine though, the crab toast starter was delicious!More

Dined here on a recent trip to Amsterdam. The only impressive aspect of this hotel (Pulitzer 5 Star) is the concierge. The wine was tepid, I asked for ice three times and I was left waiting on it. Ordered shrimp croquettes which came out 5...mins after ordering. I wanted the steak for main but explained I didn’t like it pink or any sign of blood. I was shocked when the waiter told me it was a cheap cut of meat and would be very tough if cooked well done. For just shy of €50 for this dish, I was gobsmacked. I ordered the burger which was flavourless and the chips could have been hotter. Staff disinterested. The next day I had an email from the restaurant thanking me for visiting. I shared my feedback and was met with a wall of silence that is pretty telling in itself. Avoid avoid avoid, far better dining options in this wonderful city.More

My husband and I had dinner at Jansz on May 22, 2023. It was excellent! We had a pleasant walk from the Ambassade Hotel to the restaurant. We started off with Rose’ wine and a salad. The salad was so good - the buttermilk dressing...was really flavorful. I’d love to be able to reproduce it at home. I had the pumpkin ravioli and Dave had the sea bass. Our waitress was efficient, but not obtrusive. We asked for dessert recommendations, and she suggested the peanut butter sundae. It was delicious, so we’re glad that’s how we finished our meal. We will definitely return to Jansz the nest time we’re in Amsterdam.More

Style over substance. A very average meal at a high cost and certainly not worth the money. Octopus starter was stylish on the plate but sliced so thin it was tasteless and you could have been eating anything. Good spring salad but a steep price...for lettuce and a couple of courgette shavings. Burger was very good but lamb rack needed a magnifying glass to identify. Tiny little chops. What had they done with the rest of the rack?? Pretentious introduction of dishes including reference to special aubergine no bigger than my little finger! Delightful staff but it’s a rip off for Americans. Disappointing.More
