Had a great evening here. My friend had a rijsttafel, I had the rendang. Just delicious! I can be quite crowded, something you have to be prepared for. Without reservations there is little chance you'll be having dinner here ;) Staff is very friendly. The price is reasonable but can be higher than expected.

I wrote a very good review of this restaurant a while back commenting that I couldn't wait to come back here. Well, I did, and I would never go back again. I was in a group of 6 people, and the server tried to pressure us into getting the rijstafel, which was of course their most expensive item on the... More

We were looking for good Indonesian food and found it in restaurant Blauw. We have chosen the rijsttafel (rice table) selera Blauw and this was definitely the right choice. The waitress brought us a lot of small bowls with small portions for two. She kindly explained us what she brought. Everything tasted very very good, a lot of different herbs... More

I didn't have very high expectations and this place really surprised the four of us. 100% loved it. Specially the fact that even if it was shared food we could individually choose for meat, fish, or vegetarian and everything was so delicious! 5 points!

I visit Utrecht for work once a year at least, and make sure to eat at Blauw every single time. Some visits I eat there more than once. The Indonesian food they serve is an absolute treat for your palate. The variety of flavors and consistencies in the reijstafel (rice table) makes me always want to go back. If you... More

If you really want to taste the taste of Indonesian Food, Blauw is the real deal. It's a small restaurant so make sure you have a reservation.

The reijstafel is excellent. Very tasty and just enough food to make you full, but not too full. Very nice service as well.

Good food, both the fish and the meat options. But: too many small dishes at the same time, litterally covering all the table. No room for glasses, cutlery or ever our hands... A little less food and a little more space to "work-it-out" would make your dinner here a fantastic experience.

A bit cramped and small inside (therefore best to make a reservation) but if you are looking for true Indonesian food and not the Chinese version you find everywhere in the Netherlands this is the place to be.

I turned up shortly after 8:00pm on a Wednesday evening. I was soon shown to my table, and provided with prawn crackers and two delicious dipping sauces. I was tempted by the rijsttafel but in the end went for the mixed starters and the spicy beef. The food was all absolutely delicious, with a decent, but not excessive, level of... More
