I didn't have very high expectations and this place really surprised the four of us. 100% loved it. Specially the fact that even if it was shared food we could individually choose for meat, fish, or vegetarian and everything was so delicious! 5 points!

I visit Utrecht for work once a year at least, and make sure to eat at Blauw every single time. Some visits I eat there more than once. The Indonesian food they serve is an absolute treat for your palate. The variety of flavors and consistencies in the reijstafel (rice table) makes me always want to go back. If you... More

If you really want to taste the taste of Indonesian Food, Blauw is the real deal. It's a small restaurant so make sure you have a reservation.

The reijstafel is excellent. Very tasty and just enough food to make you full, but not too full. Very nice service as well.

Good food, both the fish and the meat options. But: too many small dishes at the same time, litterally covering all the table. No room for glasses, cutlery or ever our hands... A little less food and a little more space to "work-it-out" would make your dinner here a fantastic experience.

A bit cramped and small inside (therefore best to make a reservation) but if you are looking for true Indonesian food and not the Chinese version you find everywhere in the Netherlands this is the place to be.

I turned up shortly after 8:00pm on a Wednesday evening. I was soon shown to my table, and provided with prawn crackers and two delicious dipping sauces. I was tempted by the rijsttafel but in the end went for the mixed starters and the spicy beef. The food was all absolutely delicious, with a decent, but not excessive, level of... More

We went there for dinner and as usual had a great meal. The food is prepared by Indonesian people and tastes great. When ordering a menu (rijsttafel in Dutch) you get plenty of small dishes with a large variety of different kinds of food. We chose the meat variant, but they serve fish and vegetarian dishes as well. Service is... More

The food at this restaurant is amazing. You definitely must go and eat at this place for the food alone. The staff are mixed. Some of the staff are very friendly but some are very arrogant. There was one "host" at the front greeting guests and taking reservations (a tall blond Dutch man) and he was very arrogant and rude.... More

I'm not a Indonesian food fan but I wanted to try this one after it was recommended by a friend. We had the rice platters mix for two persons. I think it was not bad. I didn't like the fact that you have to pay an extra 10 EUR if you're sharing with someone. Just make it more expensive on... More
