This restaurant has a good location around the corner from the Hotel Des Indes and just off the Denneweg. It is easy to get to and it will always have a good hustle and bustle due to the location. We ordered the surprise menu (3 courses) and on reflection, next time I will just order what I want. It may... More

Very nice restaurant around the corner of Hotel des Indes. One of the best Italian food I had in years outside Italy. The wine list is lovely and the food very tasty and fresh. Was my first but for sure not my last visit there!

Back again for a meal the night before the half marathon. All four meals were excellent as was the sharing starter with high quality Italian meats & cheese. Wine with the meal was also good. Service has improved & that appeared to be due to a restaurant manager being there. Opera singer remains & although the singing is welcome it... More

The food is good, but nothing special. Meat served was a bit cold. Further you sit very close and it is quite loud.

After a long time, I finally try this place that came highly recommended by a friend. And I was not disappointed at all. The service was good, but it was the food that was really excellent. The taglatini tartufo was one of the better pastas I have ever tasted, I also had the saltimbocca which was also good. Italian like... More

Sadly the second (newer and larger) annex bit of the restaurant has closed down... but the original smaller, cosy part they have kept is full of character and excellent. But make sure you book. It was always a favourite when we lived in The Hague for 6 years. Great service. Lovely wine. Beautifully cooked Italian classics. Nice bruschetta nibbles while... More

Just moved to The Hague, I went on the advise to a friend to Impero Romano. Saturday evening, a cold winter evening. We walked through small, serpent streets, where Christmas decoration were covering us with their soft, warm light. The restaurant was on a corner, looking along a small cosy street. It looked small and the tables were really close... More

Very nice place overall, located right next to Hotel des Indes and Denneweg, one of the nicest little streets of The Hague. Service is impeccable; waiters are polite, fast and proficient in many languages (even Portuguese!). Most clients were foreigners, so one can experience The Hague's international, expat atmosphere at its most. Food was absolutely correct. Sure, it is slightly... More

The location is great. Near shops, hotels and museums. The place has fitted many tables in relatively small place, so it feels cramped. That is partly compensated by the good taste of the food. The pasta and fish dishes came out well. The red house wine tasted flat, I would not recommend it.
