We went there two days, one after the other. The first day our we were very happy, because of the staff, the rice table, the atmosphere, the price-quality relation, all was perfect. The second day was a delusion. Starting with the staff, unfriendly, Quality of the dishes, etc. We will return but choose a seat close to the kitchen and... More

Never change anything !!! However, here and there you can make some repairs. The atmosphere is exactly as it was in the 1950-ties. A feel of the East Dutch Indies, with extreem friendly Javanese service and good food. Make sure, if you ever redecorate that you maintain this "colonial feel and look". Make the food a wee-bit better and more... More

The waiter was rude! Towards the end of our meal, my friend and I saw a few rats crawling out from the back of the wall. More came and roamed around. We tried to get the waiter's attention! Unsurprisingly due to the bad service, it took him ages to walk over our table. When we told him there were rats... More

Business trip with colleagues busy restaurant. Ordered quickly but food was very slow to arrive. Plenty of food but flavours were poor. Took an age for waiter to come back to get more drinks. Disappointed overall.

Here is an authentic Indonesian restaurant specializing in a grat variety of Rijstafel presentations. The food is great, plentiful and reasonably priced. Have some local draft beer which pairs really well with the various rijstafel choices. Nestled in the old town of The Hague this reastaurant is a must visit in the capital. You will leave satisfied!

Those responsible for this restaurant should be 'malu', which means ashamed in the Indonesian language. I know my Indonesian food very very well, having lived in the country. This was the worst Indonesian meal that I have ever had. The deco is dark and gloomy Dutch colonial. Booked a table, it was not ready when we arrived. We were treated... More

Authentic indonesian restaurant. Centrally located. The restaurant itself is decorated nicely. Wide selection of foods, and the portions are quite big.

Lovely little place with a great atmosphere. We arrived at 7.30 and we're lucky enough to get the last table. We ordered the huge selection of food to share and enjoyed it thoroughly. I haven't eaten Indonesian before so cannot compare it to anywhere else but I enjoyed the taste, especially the heat from some of the dishes. I loved... More

The restaurant has a good atmosphere. It is cosy. There are little hints at history (some of the old signs 'ring for service' are still there, but in English, so I wonder if they have been bought elsewhere). But it is certainly pleasant. Service was good. I have food allergies and I was offered the option of having any pork... More
