Took an hour for my first dish, the room was full of smoke from the fireplace and no one could breath. I have asthma and started to choke. My second dish came cold and I noticed that many other parts of my meal werent coming: the breadbasket, some cold cucumbers, etc., that all the other people in the restaurant were... More

Last night me and my husband went to this restaurant, we ate mixed finger food 17 €p/p and kabliaou 46€p/p . We have already heard that the restaurant good was but also expensive , but one thing are the extremely expensive price and other is that you go out with hungry and that was our case , the portions are... The restaurant is incredibly beautiful and has a great atmosphere. It has a mysterious setting which would normally be a very good reason for me to go back, but the food is outrageously expensive. Me and my companion were lucky to have chosen some appetizers as otherwise the main course wouldn't have been sufficient at all. I had taken the... More

I have been here twice now. I love the setting, the decor is fantastic. However, the smell of the fire is disturbing and you smell awful walking out of there. The food is nice but nothing too inventive, creative or superb. It's nice! The cocktails however, are outstanding. My main issue with this place is that the level of food... More

This place, with its vaulted cellars and huge fireplace, is truly spectacular. Food is very good, but very pricey also. Recommended for special romantic occasions

Though a bit on the pricey side, this place offers an amazing classical Japanese kitchen twisted with contemporary flavours. Be prepared for small bites with immaculate taste and a piping hot bill.

It's breathtaking coming down the almost hidden stairway and entering this medieval place. The old monastery would be a great frame for any kind of food and cooking type. The open fire creates a nice feeling in the winter, you just have to accept to stink after like the boyscouts coming back from the campfire..... The lighting of the tables is bit... More

booking: we booked on a sunday evening and it was not a problem. We were seated at the sushi counter which seemed to be the best place as it was less loud than the the front room (which is nice with its vaulted ceiling though). It was busy but then it was a christmas holiday weekend. Food: we had two... More

First and last time unfortunately. Great interior but that's where it ends! Staff friendly but probably used to stuck-up clients who only go there cause of its name and "reputation" Very disappointing to pay €48 for a 150g fish with some asparagus. Sushi is the exact same level as all other sushi places in Antwerp, basically not bad but waaaaaay... More

Very nice medieval basement restaurant. The food and cocktails are just perfect, but expensive. Nice place for autumn and winter (as no windows).
