Went there on Sunday evening with some friends for dinner and a drink. Very nice typical Belgium bar atmosphere. Relaxed and chilled out. Food was OK, not amazing.

Totally cool interior design, not so fast but very nice staff, great food, fair prices and overall good experience. It's a bit out of the center, so it seems less touristic, more like local place to eat.

It cant be wrong and Walvis stays one of my Brussl favourites both for daytime coffee, lunch, snack or easy going drinking with buddies at Night before clubbing somewhere Else... A perfect place to have meetings, see and be seen.

Nice atmosphere here. I enjoyed my food, service was a bit slow but it was very busy. I wasn't in a hurry! Staff were friendly and the coffee was strong!

Nice place, but the food was terrible. I ordered a caesar salad and I received a plate with some green salad (not even washed) and 3 pieces of dried chicken. That's it. Very sad. My friend ordered another salad and they forgot most of the ingredients.

We go to Walvis often - our kids love the children's corner & the staff are super nice with our inquisitive toddler. The food is great - my favourite is the goat cheese salad. Steaks are also nice. Service is great & they always treat you really well. We are regulars.

The food and (of course) the beer I had here were delicious. I went on a Saturday night without a reservation and was seated immediately and served promptly after I finished reading the menu. I had the goat cheese salad and it was unspeakably delcious. I would highly recommend eating here.

We found this superb restaurant and bar as we were heading to the fantastic Brussels Beer Project and what a great little find. A lovely interior with unique decor and furnishings and plenty of seating options,we got a nice table were we had a study of the beer's on offer. In the end my twin brother Stephen opted for Duvel... Just now I see the bad ratings of some other people, and it surprises me. I just got back from Cafe de Walvis (which means 'whale' by the way) and I'm very satisfied! Me and my mom had a toast with cheese, nuts and some kind of truffle sauce, and it was delicious! My dad was also very glad with... More

Sophisticated rough atmosphere, just in front of the Molenbeck tower and design center. Hipster's place, good beers and teas, but a lack of generosity and finish in the dishes.
