Visiting the Van Buuren museum with family we first wanted a lunch. Being slightly late and not knowing the neighbourhood we were looking for basically any decent restaurant still open. After going round the block we spotted the L'Estanquet, with only one couple still eating. The space is nice with a large window-veranda towards the Av Winston Churchill, it might... More

The first time in this restaurant, in Ixelles, the decoration is nice and the service friendly. Unfortunately the food was only average. The red meat was overcooked, and the dessert not very tasty. we liked the salmon tartare, but overall, not worth the price.

I live right around the corner and when I moved here I tried this Restaurant for at least 5 or 6 visits. I really wanted it to be my go to place in my neighbourhood. The quality of the food is very good and it tastes delicious. However, for my personal taste I felt, it lacks something and is quite... More

One of my favorite restaurants in Brussels since I lived there for 3 years until 2010, but always coming back for it's very good traditional belgian specialities, such as Filet Americain, Moules Frites, Waterzooi, Roignons à la Liegoise, tongue in madeira sauce, tarte tatin glace vainille flambée à l'Armagnac... in a small, cozy, a bit old fashioned brasserie on the... Close to the center , next to Avenue Churchill and Clinique Edith Cavell in Uccle , this is a nice , small but pleasant brasserie with a large choice of all kinds of dishes , familial style . Good service and good choice of wines at reasonable prices . A good alternative to Brasseries Georges , located otwo hundred meters... More

If you happen to be in this area of Brussels, this is a good place to spend the evening, as a couple or with family and friends. They are quite ready to accomodate you, even if you haven't booked (which you should do, by the way, just leave a message on the answering machine). The service is friendly and attentive... More

Excellent dinner with friends. An excellent a la carte variety and rather good wine list. And the food really met all expectations

A covered terrasse and two rooms, 80 or so seats. Just good food, like you would expect (and not alway get) in Brussels. Neither chic, nor cheap. And not just "moules-frites". Good meats, fish, inexpensive pasta, seasonal dishes. Up-to-date magazines and papers. Good wine list, incl. delicious Muscat sec for apéritif.
