Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Booked in advance, for a start, the place was busy, but had a lovely feel around the place, the staff made it more enjoyable. Here's a shocker for us, not, we went for the beers, later spirits. The liver pate was a pleasant choice. Shrimp...croquettes, we all enjoyed. We all went for the mussels, plenty of which happened to be quite plump. Duck breast, tender, but honestly I needed more mussels and ordered another order. . Yeah, a loverly delightful evening if not slightly intoxicated.More

My wife required some french cuisine, and require mussels and frites, whereas I had beef tenderloin. Flavours were excellent, prices are consistent with nearby restaurants. We had no reservations which resulted in early dining and set timeline. Overall a nice dining experience

Premium location and super food. You may eat for less elsewhere, but the balance of location, ambience and quality here make this a great choice. And the service was great!!

I visited the restaurant with my elderly mother and two teenage daughters. Nice atmosphere in the restaurant and busy. We are English speakers, but keen to try to speak French (my daughter is a French student). The order was taken quickly and starter came out...shortly after. Good crab bisque. We then sat there for 40 mins when I asked where our main courses were. The waiter apologised and said the kitchen would ‘rush’ them. We got the eventually after waiting an hour. Honestly by that point we had been in the restaurant two hours and had gone off eating. Everyone around us had been served. No idea whether it was some kind of weird discrimination thing or they were just not competent. Mistakes happen but I am here to tell you that the Guinea fowl wasn’t worth the wait. The removed the drinks charges and somehow wanted us to be grateful. Desserts were just okay - think mediocre uk chain. The whole experience was just eeeehhhhh. Not great at the price charged. You can do much better for the price. Plenty of places to choose from.More

Very good food, well-presented, good portion sizes, fresh at a fair price. Service disappointing. Poor welcome (simply sent upstairs, where there were no reservation signs on any tables and no staff). Eventually, when he appeared, had to call the waiter over and ask for menus....Also, a restaurant where you are trusted to pour your own water but the wine is whisked away and only available when the waiter happens to think you might want some. Vexing to say the least.More

What a fabulous meal and experience! I had lobster bisque for starter which was fabulous! I make a good crab bisque at home so can spot a good bisque when I have one. We then both had fillet steak (described as tenderloin streak) and sauce...bearnaise for mains. Brilliantly executed. Our waiter, Francois, was brilliant- super attentive and helpful. Best eating experience in Brussels on our four day trip. Will definitely return!More

Best meal in my trip to Belgium! I would give 6 stars if I could. I had high expectations after looking at TripAdvisor reviews, and this restaurant did not disappoint! Moules Frites were amazing - deep flavor in the broth, crispy veggies, and the frites...were fried in beef tallow for extra richness. Scottish smoked salmon was a fantastic starter, served with toast, herbs, and onions. Complementary olives were a nice touch, as was the delicious butter served with fresh bread. My father got a traditional Belgian waterzooi chicken stew, a bit bland but seemed very authentic. More like a chowder than a soup. House white wine was fantastic, I was very pleased because carafe wine can be a gamble. Great location at the edge of the St. Hubert Galleries Mall. Very little outdoor seating, but the inside was elegant. A bit cramped, so it may be tough for handicapped access. Fantastic service, food was timed perfectly at a relaxing pace. Highly recommended, but make a reservation (even for Mondays). One of the best meals I have had in Europe, period.More

Easily one of the best restaurants we ate at while in Brussels, especially in the central area we stayed in. Every thing was perfect: fries, croquettes, fish soup, smoked salmon, etc.

The restaurant was full when we were there. The service was decently quick, but they forgot things and several times we had to remind them. Unfortunately, the food did not live up to the price. Most of it was tasteless, the carpaccio rubbery. The bread...is inexcusably some bake-up variant. Simple things are inexplicably bad, such as a weird tasting bearnaise. The mussels were OK at best, many unopened, the taste bland. The desserts were of a really low quality, the restaurant fails simple things again. The crème brûlée was cold and rubbery, yet tasted only burnt sugar. Avoid unless you have no other choiceMore

Mussels were delicious. Sirloin was well seasoned and cooked. Asparagus in the appetizer was juicy and yummy. Dessert was also very nice. Great service from the lady with glasses. She was so lovely. Anyway, I would recommend to make a reservation in advance.
