A clasic place in Brussels. The restaurant is located in a historical building with big windows very close to the grand square. Thus, attracting everyone attention. The food is 100% local as well as their workers. However, due its proximity to the main attractions in town several patrons are tourists. We got shrimp croquets, carbonnade frites and gratin "lettuce". Great... More

I don't care too much for their well known "half and half" but the interior is utterly charming, prices are correct and so is the service.

Went here twice during our 2 day stay in Brussels - following a guide book and wanting to go where locals went - and on or second visit (for lunch) we only just got a seat in this large restaurant, so the locals definitely favour this place too. The place is what you imagine as a traditional Belgian bar -... More

Terrific old-world bar, with lots of of character and charm, just a two-minute walk from the Grand-Place. Have been to Brussels several times in past years and it remains my favourite place for a drink (gueuze) before heading out to dinner.

When you travel, the advice is to go where the locals go. My family and I have been going here for generations. And we still do. Just sit in or out as you wish, and soak up the atmosphere. Watch the world go by. We never had any complaints about the service, although the staff is very busy most of... More

I can't claim to have visited every bar in Brussels, far from it, but I did manage to get into one or two. This one is without a doubt my absolute favourite. I can't imagine there can be many bars or cafes that can rival it for originality and atmosphere. For me, this place 'is' Brussels. The decor of carved... More

Always go here when in Brussels, I just love the ambience and the building. The service is always rushed, but perfect as the guys are friendly and helpful. Food is great too for lunch or snack.

This is a good restaurant for anyone looking to have some decent Belgian food without ridiculous tourist prices. We had the waterzooi and flamandes awesome!!! We sat outside as it wasn't too chilly - the food is served without much of a wait, the service was good and the waiter quite friendly and good with recommendations from the menu.

Just on the other side of the Stock Exchange, the world famous Falstaff was closed earlier this year. Le Cirio offers a good alternative. Jacques Brel used to be one of their customers. Lots of people come here to enjoy a 'half en half', sparkling Italian wine mixed with Italian white wine. Some geuzes and decent bar food on the... More
