La Piola is a very nice (and very small) Italian restaurant that serves excellent food. Since the restaurant has only a few tables, they can't afford to have a long menu. Instead they change it very often (weekly I believe) - don't forget to check the menu outside before getting in. My review only applies to the "La Piola Pesce"... More

This is my type of restaurant - relaxed, basic wooden tables, nice atmosphere, great food. The pasta (I had the arrabiata) is some of the best I have eaten in Brussels (where much of the Italian food is truly awful). Well cooked pasta, just the right amount of well flavoured sauce. And topping it off is the price - extremely... More

I was looking fwd to my first visite to la piola. All my italien frinds mentioned as best pasta in town. Imagine my disappointment when we had poorly cooked pasta and. a sauce that wasn't cook enough. I Could live with crappy looking decor not to say cheap, and long waiting time, but I can not accept poor pasta, especially this is your only... More

This small restaurant is ideal for a relaxed Saturday lunch. They offer 6 or 7 mains, salads and antipasti. Food is properly prepared, with fresh pasta and well seasoned sauces. I felt it was a very good restaurant that definitely stands out from the plethora of Italian places that usually serve the traditionally boring pastas and precooked ricotta spinach ravioli...... You might think I go to La Piola so often because it's 2 blocks from my apartment, but of all the restaurants in the area it's my favorite by far. It's small, with great ambiance, they serve fresh, home-made pasta, and the service is very good. Part of what I like and which some may not, is the limited menu.... More

I normally don't like Italian food. It feels overpriced and not genuine whenever you're out of Italy. This restaurant is the exception. They only do four to five dishes but they do them really well. The owners also love their wine and it shows. It's probably best to go here with a few friends as it's a rather small restaurant.

Nice Italian wines (if you like Italian wine, of course) and great atmosphere. Also serve little food (pasta). Recommendable!

They cook the food right in front of you, you can even check what other things the cook is cooking and pick whatever appeals you more. A casual restaurant. Tiramisu was not specially good, and found it a bit small though.

Brussels is full of Italian restaurants-usually if you have been to Italy you should avoid them..................but nothing in Brussels comes close to this for real Italian cooking...no Belgo-Italian mish mash, this is the real thing with burratta freshly imported, sea food, pasta everything cooked to perfection. Great fun clientele and wonderful competent staff-cannot go wrong! Its fabulous and now that... More
