The visit to L'ecailler should have been a nice end of a fabulous trip to Brussels, but it soon became a disappointment... The service varies between very friendly and caring staff to arrogant and ignorant. The maître d'hôtel made no effort/interest to inform me about dishes not available, nor to inform me of the specials of the day. Even when... More

Good location in Sablon square with a rich selection of sea food and a long list of plates and daily suggestions with good service. Over priced.

A very fancy restaurant where you can sit at ease, not disturbed by neighbors and where the food is excellent. By far the best restaurant in its category in Brussels.

Amazing selection of oysters, very innovative cuisine, in a kind of austere and majestic environment. Great wine list with the smallest letters ever printed. Highly priced

Admittedly, we probably received some special treatment, as we went with my wife's 85 year-old cousin, who had been coming here since the 60's, and it had been her favorite place to go with her husband for over 25 years. Amazing presentations and imaginative dishes, perfect service, and some of the best seafood we have ever tasted. Ambiance is quiet... More

Went there with several work colleagues. The food was good and the service was excellent. Prices however are very high. Only go if someone else is paying.

I really enjoy eating here. The service is consistently of a high standard as is the food. It is comfortable- if at times a little too conventional- but all in all I never leave here disappointed!

service, quality of food were very good. Cabilleaud, oysters, shrimp, paired with very good wine made a wonderful night.

On our way to the Maastricht art fair we stopped in Brussels and had dinner at l'Ecailler. We were seated upstairs due to late reservation but In fact I loved this cosy and traditional dining room. The staff was very helpful and recommend Zelande oysters from Holland. We had the flat ones delicious and salty due to their specific breeding... More

Don't come here for a cheap night. Come here to be reminded of old luxury, elegance and beautiful food. I have read reviews about it being expensive: it is but it was worth it in my view. Lovely large table for the 5 of us, and very attentive waiters. We had an amazing special of hops and poached egg with... More
