The architecture of the train station is just stunning so is the interior of the Grand Café which is actually a restaurant. A lot of dishes if you are a meat lover but no choice at all if you are a vegetarian so our vegetarian guest had olives, cheeses and bread... Now I really have to complain about the poor... More

Even if you do not arrive in Liege by train, a visit to this architecturally stunning station is a must. Within the station you will find the equally modern Grand Cafe de la Gare, which offers good fare. At lunch you could either choose the 3 course menu, or a selection of plats. Those of us who just chose a... More

After visiting the Dali-exposition in the Station,we ate for dinner. It was a very positive experience: quite fast, very kind and delicious food for a good price.

The restaurant is an excellent brasserie with a modernist decor. Lunch was great, but the cafe liegeois was to die for!

While in Liege, we had lunch in the Grand Café de la gare. There are two sections, a more upscale restaurant section, and a brasserie. We ate in the brasserie. Excellent and friendly service, very good food , and value for money. I had a “millefeuille de boudins noirs, crème de petits pois”, which was a very sophisticated and succulent... More

My husband and I were just looking for simple food so we decided to go to the train station across our hotel. We were surprised to see a full restaurant there. The food was really good. We ordered traditional Belgian food - one of meatballs and the other beef with sauce. Both delicious. Service was fast and efficient. The place... More

My wife and I knew before our visit that we would have a long wait for a change of trains at Liege Guillemins station, but not long enough to go searching the locality encumbered by our luggage. so I researched possible lunch venues in the vicinity of the station on Trip Advisor prior to leaving home. Imagine my surprise to... More

The food was excellent: foie gras, confit, steak tartare. The wines were excellent too, especially the Jurancon which paired very well with the foie gras. Service was very friendly and knowledgeable. The location is very surprising and original; who would expect a classic French restaurant in a railway station?

Two days ago I went to the Grand Cafe de la Gare with some colleagues. It was quite a pleasant experience, especially for being a station restaurant, if you know what I mean. I went for the fish menu but the meat option looked much better. Know more about it in our blog borntobegreedy.
