If you want to go to an authentic place to eat or drink something, this is your worst choice. Very chaotic. Don't dare to ask why it takes long. Sorry, our fresh orange juice is finished. Here you have normal orange juice. Ok, do you...More

I have to adhere to a strict gluten free diet and it can be tricky sometimes to find food that is really gluten free. Here was a place I could have a lovely hot meal with no side effects. I went twice and each time...More

Very nice modern restaurant in earshot of the piano players above in the performance area. Well presented tasty food and efficient staff made this a good place to eat.

Note: there are two restaurants occupying the same space, the Belfort Stradscafe with a limited daytime menu, and this, the Belfort Restaurant, with an evening menu. Yes, it is confusing. When my wife and I arrived, she asked the waiter about the gluten-free menu. We...More

My boyfriend and I did the lunch special for 13 euros not expecting much when they said it was steak and potatoes. Were we ever surprised! Out came a perfectly cooked steak on a bed of mashed potatoes and peas with a wonderful peppercorn sauce....More

The wait staff and other patrons were super nice and helpful. The food wasn't anything special. I had the daily lunch special of fish and potatoes. My husband had the meatballs. Just ok.

This place is about as cozy as a high school cafetaria in dimmed lights. No, forget the dimmed lights, I had a halogene spot shining in my face all night. The crammed in as much tables and chairs as physically possible, not leaving much place...More

This nice restaurant in the historic center of Ghent, Belgium is an excellent place for lunch or brunch. A great value if you get the fixed menu. The service was just OK. They were not busy. Just not too interested in providing good service.

This is a great place to have a breakfast in Ghent. Good choice. Good value. I can recommend the French breakfast. Plenty to eat and very fresh.

The Belfort Restaurant will become a modern brasserie led by Tom Klussendorf who used to be the chef at Cafe Parti during the last couple of years. He aims for tasty and healthy dishes with a focus on organic and local products. The centerpiece is undoubtedly the rotisserie with farm chicken, roasts and, in season, pheasant! Of course there is also a wide range of vegetarian dishes and there will also be a selection of dishes for those with gluten allergies or for those who want to eat food with low carbohydrates. Besides that, something to really look out for, will be the exquisite wine list at the restaurant! Both the Cafe and the Restaurant have a spacious terrace overlooking the new park that was built along the Stadshal. A lovely oasis in the center of Ghent where you can enjoy delicious products, a wide selection of beers and the environment. The Belfort Stadscafe and Restaurant are situated beneath the Stadshal on the Emile Braun square in Ghent.
