Nice restaurant chosen due its proximity to our hotel but a good choice. Had a traditional Belgium meat stew dish served with fries, recommended by the waitress. It was excellent, so tasty. Would choose it again. Good service and nice atmosphere. Good value.

We all ordered Stoverij - the special Ghent stew - because they recommended this dish, and they were right, it was amazing! Also the chocolate mouse afterwards was great! Restaurant is a recommendation!

We dropped in this cafe for a quick bite before the start of the opera and were very pleasantly surprised. The surroundings were astonishing, the service very quick and a very interesting menu card with tasty meals that are slightly out of the ordinary

Had the stoverij - a favourite Ghent dish - with plenty of fries and a Westmalle. Surely the closest experience to heaven. Warm, inviting atmosphere, quick and friendly service.

I don't know why this only has 3* ratings. The food is excellent quality and you can tell the chef knows his stuff and puts a lot of care into his food. The decor is amazing, with fine art prints on every wall and a fireplace keeping everyone warm. Plus the view of the belfry made it such an incredible... More

We stubled to this place by accident. The staff was very helpful and everyone spoke english. The food was high class with plenty to eat for a reasonable price. And they did have numerous local craft beer which was all delicious.

The Café des Arts offers a nice place in the center of Ghent. They have all kinds of food (Belgian, Italian, French ...) wich are very tasty. Ik you want a super steak, then ask for a "entrecote" with french fries. You won't believe the size and the vegetables you get along. The café is a nice place to spend... More

We booked a group lunch for a set menu and a well defined 1 1/2 h time slot. The setting and atmosphere was typical for a town brasserie, busy but not noisy, ideal for a group of (in our case) 14 people. The food was very well prepared, dished-up with phantasy and very good value for money. I would definitely... More

Fine place with fair people and fair food in the city center. Super friendly staff that works there for a while and is efficiënt and fast. No ego's here. Just nice persons that do their best to bring you decent quality. No haute cuisine, but fine honest meals. Best stoverij in town, nice lunches, salads are great, veggie burger is... More

The meat (entrecote) was of rather bad quality. The fries were the worst that I ever had in Belgium. If you have no expectations and you are on the verge of starving this might be your place. The waitress however was very friendly, and I felt sorry she had to serve this food.
