Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Perfect size restaurant that specializes in sea food. As a group of traveling foodies we selected the set menu which was fabulous. Well priced selection of wines. The owners were our friendly waitress and her chef husband. Their passion for fine dinning is a pleasure...to witness and the ambience is wonderful for any occasion. We will be back!!More

We went with 3 friends, there was a reservation for 8 o'clock and we sat down, stating that we would not stay until that time anyway, we would eat quickly and get up. We asked for mussels with white wine and they told us that...the portion was about 1 kg. So we ordered three beers and two portions of mussels. However, absurdly, they don't allow sharing with friends, so you can't sit three people and eat 2 portions. Everyone is expected to order one dish. They also asked if we wanted potatoes, but there was no indication on the menu that it was free and we didn't want it. I don't recommend you to go, there are mussels in the establishments in the center, share them as you want and they also give you potatoes. Go and eat there...More

We are a small seafood restaurant with 20 seats only. You had a table for 4 with 3 adults and asked to share ONE portion of mussels with three beers. As a matter of courtesy we allowed you to order 2 portions only instead of...More

It’s honestly the best lobster we’ve ever had, and the best meal we had in Bruges. The hostess was friendly, the service was pleasant and professional. The chef came out to talk us through our choice of lobster - we opted for one huge 1.2kg...lobster, and he even brought it out for us to meet. The lobster was cooked to perfection, and we both took our time savouring every bit of it. We loved Bruges and we loved Lobster Pot. We’ll be back to both!More

The waiter is constantly spinning near the tables, where the order is made for large sums in the hope of a tip. the rest of the customers are indifferent.

Tried this restaurant whilst visiting Bruges. I like Lobster and i was not disappointed with the food. I had a large bowl of Lobster Bisque to start which was very tasty and a load of lobster in it. I then had the Lobster Thermidor which...again was very tasty. Loads of Lobster and mushrooms. I had not had thermidor done this way before but it really nice. The staff were really attentive. If in Bruges again i would go again. Recommended.More

Classier and more formal than other lobster restaurants I’ve eaten at previously . If you like lobster (and I do ) then you should give this place a go. If you’re messy like me then the thermidor is already shelled which prevents a massive mess....My partner had the langoustine starter and herb butter lobster main coarse , which were both very nice (see photos) , I had the mussels starter which I found a little peppery / spicy and the Thermidor lobster main which was very nice . I would go as far as to say that my girlfriends lobster is amongst the largest I’ve seen . (Please see photos). Also not too expensive considering One slight downside was there is a tank of lobster’s in restaurant although the chef didn’t visit it during my visit I have a feeling this was by chance than design. As carnivores we happily eat meet and fish without being linked directly with the creatures demise as much as this link is inevitable it gives people like me some detachment. Overall experience was more 4.5 which cannot be selected.More

This restaurant was great, friendly staff and relaxing atmosphere. We went for the lobster menu which i thought was great value at 3 courses for 65€. Some menu items were pricey but I believe it’s to be expected if you want good quality seafood. I...would definitely recommend this restaurant.More

Fantastic restaurant - greatly recommended. Prices absolutely fair for what is provided. Chef came out to discuss food but not intrusively. Front of house/service lady was impeccable: knowledgable, friendly, attentive, and charming. We had the Lobster Pot Platter, which we both enjoyed. We will return!

Had the lobster menu which is expensive but delicious. Starts with lobster soup with big chunks of lobster, and grilled lobster from Canada. Then vanilla ice cream with nuts and caramels. All really tasty in a lovely atmosphere

Overall, very nice ambiance, and the food was very good. Cost is on the higher end (even considering the nature of the food and the location). Be prepared to drop 60-70€ per person

Best mussels We’ll ever had! So creamy and tasty and the portions were really huge. Nice staff. The interior was maybe not the most amazing we’ll been to. And personally a don’t like when the menu comes on an iPad, it feels impersonal

We decided to visit the Lobster Pot for our last night in Bruges, and it was a great choice. My wife was served a big bowl of bouliabaise, crammed with perfectly cooked seafood, including the optional half lobster, and she loved it. I ordered the...chef’s specialty, the grilled lobster, and it was wonderful, served in a seasoned butter sauce that set it well apart from the New England style boil I am used to. When we return to Bruges, we will come again to The Lobster Pot.More
