Had a nice quiet dinner in a cozy setting. Restaurant was understaffed because of illness of one employee, but there was no lack of service. Ordered the steak with house sauce and the wild boar stew. The sauces for both were unusual and delicious. The wild board stew is, deservedly, a seasonal local favorite. While not the best meal we... More

There are a multitude of restaurants in Bruges, far too many to make it easy to choose. This one is thankfully away from the main squares. I had passed it a few times because it was close to our hotel and I thought it looked inviting. We had a quick look at the menu in the window and decided to... More

We booked in advance as this was our first night in Bruges: the room looked pretty and we were drawn by the mention of eels on the menu! The room is indeed very pretty and the service attentive. Very limited supply of wine by the glass- just one option for white which didn't appeal so unusually for me I stuck... More

We stopped in for dinner on our first night in Bruge. We ordered the tourist menu which consisted of Flanders' Stew, frittes and salad. (The tourist menu was 18 euros.) The atmosphere was warm and toasty - this was wonderful since it was cold and rainy. The service was great too!

Wanting to try Flemish food, reviews lead us to Chagall. Upon the waiters suggestion we had the house Syrah, treated to the carrot amuse bouche, followed by the traditional Beef Stew & the Waterzoi Chicken Stew with unlimited fries! Wow! Both dishes were delicious. Food plays an important part of a trip to another country. We finished with the warm... More

We actually went here twice during our visit to Bruges, first for a light lunch, the shrimp croquettes were delicious and then for dinner as we liked it so much . For dinner the restaurant was busy and had a cosy and buzzy feel. The services was friendly and informative. 2 of us ordered from the 'Specials menu' , a... More

Visited without a reservation promptly shown to a nice table for 2. We both opted for the braised beef which was nicely presented , tasty and a ample portion. The red house wine was superb.Dessert was chocolate soufflé which was nice. Will return when we next visit.

My partner and I ate here on our last evening in Bruges. We were the first customers as it was fairly early and we chose to sit inside. The decor is lovely, simple and classy with a cosy log fire. The young man who served us made our evening - incredibly attentive, very professional and always with a friendly comment... More

This is a small, family owned restaurant away from the main square. We ate here on 3 evenings and were delighted with the imaginative and tasty food, served in a very friendly atmosphere.
