We were told that if you're in Bruges you must try Mussels and fries for lunch with Belgian beer of course in of the Markt restaurants .... So we did ....We chose this one because all of the others were full .... There's a big competition amongst them and this place offered a good deal , for 19.50€ each you... More

New interieur and new owners make a big difference. Big chapeau to the people of grand cafe Belfort. You can enjoy your dinner or lunch in-or outside under the heathers. We started with aspergues on flemish style and they are delicieus. Main course for the Ostends fishstew and yes this is also very good. The service is good these people... More

The food was not worth the price that it costed and the waiters were pressuring us a lot on ordering without giving us time to read the menu. Tee costed 7€ and they could us not tell the reason why.. so normal tea very expensive! The food was everage rather not so good. My fellow eaters enjoyed their food but... More

Visited on two nights. The layout of the restaurant and what we thought was its 'next door neighbour' The outside signing and menus make this look like two separate restaurants, until you get the food which is identical and obviously cooked in the same kitchen. Even the waiters looked familiar on the second night. I wonder why? The food on... More

Walked in and ordered before checking TripAdvisor. Although very busy with what looked like a coach party our drinks were with us in minutes. Whilst waiting for our food checked TripAdvisor to see predominately atrocious reviews to my horror. Not expecting much we tucked into the set lunch menu which was delicious, I had tuna salad and my wife had... More

This brasserie is situated right in the "Markt", the place to be to see people and things as they happen. I went there with my wife and we both had a superb Beef steak with Salad and French Fries. Good service too. Bruges itself is a wonderful town, worth spending at least a few days in.

The ONLY thing we didn't like about it was how everyone around us was smoking, and as soon as they finished one cigarette, they INSTANTLY lit another...and then another...and so on. Soon, we felt as though WE were smoking and our beers even began to smell and TASTE like it, too. People talk about the healthy diets of Europeans, but... More

We sat there 5 people for a cup of coffee in the middle of a storm and we decided to order some coffees. We thought a bottle of water was needed so we ordered one. A bottle of a liter came to out table and when we ask for the check a cold shower hit us. 9 euro (!!!) for... More

Let's not be naïve; with the weak pound and a beautiful tourist spot, it is not particularly cheap to eat in Bruges. BUT. If you have the approach of you get what you pay for and you will suffer a little with the current economic climate then you won't leave this great restaurant disappointed. The service is professional and courteous,... More

We decided to take a chance with one of the square restaurants. We where seated pretty quickly under a heater. Despite it being busy and the restaurant seemed understaffed. The food came out fairly quickly. We both had the stew which wasn't as good as the one we had yesterday elsewhere. Had the appearance of cheaper and fatty meat. However... More
