On a ramble from our hotel on Potterierei, we happened to espy this establishment, which we subsequently learned was the oldest hostelry in Brugge. The next day we made our way to Vlissinghe and we were delighted. Having climbed the stairs from the street-level entrance, we were greeted with a tall, capacious and very warmly-heated room with a long "refectory"... More

Great place to visit and you get to see other parts of Brugge in the north side of town past van eck statue. You can sit in the garden or sit in the interesting inside room. It has some good snacks and nice beer. Great atmosphere worth a stop for a restful couple of hours.

One of the most characterful bars in Bruges, on a chilly February morning, to go into this old-fashioned room with its stove belting out the heat was super. The dog - which must not be fed according to the signs - wagging its tail at the top of the entrance stairs - was cute. Food and beers were very good.

We had a lovely meal and beer at about 11.30. First ones in got the pick of the tables, foods excellent, good choices on menu. Mac cheese was good also the bolognese toasty. Beer was also excellent. Ambiance was good, staff very nice, dog very friendly. We were very disappointed the next year 2016 to find they had gone on... More

Went in as we wanted to try the oldest pub in Bruges and we found a very friendly staff in a pub with plenty of locals. We both had soup with bread and they were quite nice. Would go again.

Hidden in the magnificent Sint-Annakwartier lies this little gem of a bar. Aparently built in 1515, this is supposed to be the oldest pub in all of Bruges. Whether it is actually true or not, it is a must-see. Great interior and a fantastic garden to enjoy all available beer and small dishes. Absolutely awesome!

Had a really great drinks evening on a cold January night here with the cosy room/oven keeping everybody warm. Good beer list here obviously.

We went there for an irish coffee and a chocolate. The place is very expensive (15 € for both) and the service quite unfriendly. Before leaving I asked for a glass of tap water to take a pill. They answered that they were not allowed (read: You buy or nothing). The only nice thing was the dog. He entertains the... More
