Don't miss this charming, family-run pub and eatery. Ancient, ancient place with pretty outside garden courtyard that has additional tables, has excellent, homey (not fancy), very reasonably priced food and (of course) a huge selection of beer. When we went it was raining and we sat inside by the fireplace. We had a wonderful time and completely recommend it.

Found this atmospheric old pub just around the corner from our B&B and loved it!! We came back everyday for drinks and a nice lunch just to enjoy the atmosphere and the beer! Go and enjoy, it's so authentic!

The Vlissinghe first opened its doors in 1515, making it the oldest pub in Bruges. The great Flemish painters Rubens and Van Dyck were both regulars (the latter's chair, usually occupied by the cute small house dog - which tends to appear around your feet when the food arrives - is on the left of the old stove). The pub... More

We went for a beer to the pub part of this tavern because it was the oldest one in town. It did not disappoint! The interior was cozy and warm, the beers excellent and the staff good. Reading about the old history of the place in the menu only added to the experience. The only downside is that you can't... More

This pub, the oldest in Bruges, is rather away from the main square. That makes it a nice place to go for a different place. There are some locals, there is a woodburning stove for when it's cold and an outdoor terrace when it's warm. They have a good selection of beers and nice pub food.

The first stop on my beer tour of Bruges! Only one local beer (Zot) on tap here, but definitely worth a visit. Staff were also very friendly and helpful!

Opted to sit outside on a beautiful Fall evening after taking in the history inside. Nice selection of local bottled beers. Our choices included the local Fort Lapin which was delightful and the Orval which is a typical good Belgian beer. We started with the meat and cheese and then proceeded to the spaghetti Bolognese and mac and cheese all... More

We found this restaurant off the beaten path off a recommend as the oldest restaurant in Bruges. The outdoor eating area coupled with the folk style music paired for a wonderful afternoon snack. There was a nice lawn area for the kids to play and plenty of toys/games for kids and adults alike. Ensure you bring cash as they dont... More

Was here with a group, having booked in advance for lunch and we were not disappointed. The beer was excellent for those who drank it and the food was very tasty indeed. Brugge is full of beer places but if you want food as well then this is recommendable.
