The weather was nasty though and there was a nice fire glowing in the middle of it. We both had a Beer and the Local Flemish... More

Fast, efficient service with delicious food and good wine. That ticked all of the boxes except one! I just wish the servers would be a little more friendly. Then they would get 5 stars!

Swing by for dinner and I have to say that the food was not great. Clearly not fresh and is basically a tourist trap. The service was alright though and the beer was good obviously as its Belgium! :)

As locals we are aware that the restaurants at 't Zand are meant to attracht tourists but that does not mean we do not want to be part of the buzzing crowd now and then. ;-) Anyway we got a seat outside and had already seen Today's Specials for... 3 out of our party of 4 ordered the mussels and they were fabulous, the portion size was very generous and there were many different sauces you could have you mussels served in I chose the White sauce this was delicious.

The service was great in this restaurant, the food was okay, fairly tasty. I had veggie spaghetti and my partner had bbq ribs, which looked over cooked and quite dry. I suppose I would relate this restaurant's food to a Hungry Horse in the UK but with premium prices.

We left it quite late to go out for dinner, so by the time we got into town we were hungry. Not always the best state to be in when searching for a restaurant. We dicided upon De Gulden Spoor, situated on 't Zand. There are many, many restaurants there, so plenty to chose from. They have several 'special offers'... More
