Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

A small restaurant, with a tiny kitchen, they manage to make delicious food. We had croquettes to start and lamb and salmon as mains. Very tasty and good value for money. Friendly service.

We had to wait for our meals for over 2 hours, when we asked them about it they dismissed us. Never apologised... Food's good though

Thank you for a lovely service and very nice food 👏 the fish was amazing and my husband really enjoyed the grilled meat. I had not had such a nicely cooked fish in a long time! The waitress also gave special attention to my dishes...as I am pregnant, we recommend this place just make sure to book a table as it is full quick 😊More

Very nice restaurant, with a cosy atmosphere. Specials very good, including very nice bone marrow (mergpijp) that we wished we had ordered one each that we don’t have to fight for it. The steak was one of the best we’ve had. Overall, it is highly...recommended restaurant.More

We had the best evening at this “gem” of a restaurant. The steaks were cooked to perfection on the open grill. The owner & chef Bjorn and waiter Dieter were very friendly and made us feel very welcome. We would definitely recommend visiting in fact...we’ve booked again for tonight!More

Delicious red meat, the best one I ever had. This restaurant is pricey but worthy. Great service as well.

We had a recommendation to go here and we were very excited; however we were disappointed as we asked for bleu and rare steaks - they were Medium at best. We also had a hair on one dish, which was sent back and we got...the same food, on a different plate.. The service was average and once we complained, the service was disengaged.. Maybe an exception to the norm, but thoroughly disappointing choice, which dampened a however amazing weekend, in Bruges.More

Absolutely delicious steaks. Some of the best we’ve had. And all cooked in an open fireplace at one end of the little restaurant. Lovely service and great wine. Don’t let the not-so-impressive decor put you off. If we’re back in Bruges, we’d find it hard...not to eat every evening meal here.More

Overall not impressed. First impressions were that the Restaurant needed a fresh coat of paint. Lacked atmosphere . Nice pieces of Steak very well cooked but mine came very heavily pre_seasoned with pepper which totally ruined my steak. My husband had pepper sauce with his...Steak and in his opinion the sauce was harsh. In our opinion there are nicer places to eat.More

We went here at the last minute on 14/08/18, when we arrived we were shown to a very small table (we did book last minute) anyway they moved us to a bigger table downstairs. The food service and drinks were excellent and the chef was...amazing. You could see the passion he had for making the most fantastic food. If ever I’m back in Brugge we will be returning, I would highly recommend this place, great food friendly staff and a lovely atmosphere 😋More

Don’t go. Awful service. I checked this place on Trip Advisor and decided to make a reservation in this restaurant because of the good reviews. It was close to the house we rented and very well recommended. I wanted to enjoy the food. I am...traveling with 3 kids and I arrived 30 minutes late. It is never easy to meet timetables with kids. We had been eating some fries in the main square and didn’t want to go there and not eating. When we arrived, just in the entrance without letting us go inside, the manager, very rudely, told us literally: “Your are late, your table has been sold”. He didn’t let us go inside, he didn’t ask about the reasons or even trying to say it in a polite way despite of most of the tables being empty. I am not surprise that tables were empty if that is the service of the place. Just don’t goMore

Finding a gluten-free restaurant in Bruges was something of a challenge as the search engines weren't very helpful, but this place hit the spot as we were able to speak to the chef who was easily able to tailor the meal, since everything off the...grill is GF - so it was just a case of swapping a few side dishes which was easily done. Its a charming very small restaurant where the owner-chef cooks on a grill right there in the restaurant (if your'e seated downstairs). We went with the set menu which was fantastic. Perfectly cooked steaks, generous portions and great hospitality, all washed down with excellent wine. A unique place with character and atmosphere and great to discover something 'a bit different' - such a refreshing change from the ubiquitous chain restaurant experience we are usually confronted with when eating out in the UK. Not cheap but worth it - overall would say good value for what you get. Highly recommend.More

I would like to ask some questions about our visit to your restaurant: 1. If most of the menu is not available, would it not be customary to let the diners know prior to ordering? 2. If after ordering you let us know more of the chosen items are unavailable then there is very little to order! 3. Is it not polite to ask diners if they would like something to drink during a 1 hour wait for one entree? 4. Is it unusual that 3 other tables received their meals prior to us? 5. If a diner is upset about the long wait and poor service and asks for the check, would it not be customary to apologize and allow us to leave? 6. Is it customary for the waitress and the chef to laugh about their poor service and does that suggest there was something else going on during this visit, such as discrimination? 7. I hope that you are able to think about these questions.
