Having spent the afternoon in Ypres we need a coffee before moving on. The Coffee Break near to the Mennen Gate is the place we now recommend. Great coffee and tea, brilliant quiches and a carrot cake that was heaven. Try them, you won't be disappointed.

We were visiting Ypres for the day from our cruise liner and needed a lunchtime snack. Nice, small venue very near the Menin Gate. Hot soup and hot chocolate - very welcome on a cold December day. Thank you.

Cozy place near the Menin Gate. Great coffee, pastry, and simple sandwiches. The Brownies are delicious too. Internet is free, just ask for the password at the Cashier. Relaxing atmosphere, a great place to while away some time.

This is a very cosy, family run cafe, serving delicious drinks, cakes and sandwiches. There is a terrace for sunny days and the bathroom facilities are kept clean.

While waiting for our tour van to arrive for the Flanders Battle Fields tour we began casting around for someplace to get in out of the rain and get something hot to drink. As neither one of us drink coffee, it was great to see hot chocolate on the drink menu. Ordered and consumed same.

Popped in on a freezing cold December afternoon to escape the weather. Warmed up instantly on the comfy sofas and filling hot chocolate and delicious cakes. Even welcomed our small dog into the place.

Lovely coffee and hot chocolate, good bagels and sandwiches to take away. A relaxing environment to while away time in Ypres, very attentive staff and yards from the Menin Gate. The spiral staircase to the upstairs terrace and toilets may present a problem for some but are a quaint feature of this coffee house.
