The photographs(not the touris restaurant kind) looked so good we had to go. Warning ...... This is high end food but plentiful so do not over order. Starters to share are indeed to share mushroom and cheese with poached egg certainly enough for two. The...More

Booked online "near" our hotel (Vitoria Stone Hotel) then discovered the restaurant was just off the lobby. Visually a clean, bright and modern look. Put off by the menu which had colour pictures of the food (usually not a propitious sign). My pork dish and...More

The food was ok, but no more than that. The beef carpaccio starter was slightly unbalanced. I don't feel the orange worked. The monkfish rice was so overwhelmed by tomato you couldn't taste the lovely fish. The only vinho verde on the menu was quite...More

Very good service, very tasty and well presented food! Typical dishes with a slit different touch. Very pleasant meal with family. Just 4* because I think it's a little too expensive, but maybe it's just for my wallet 😉

Description
The 5âmendoas Restaurant is located in the Vitória Stone Hotel. We are a city restaurant, open every day to the general public, and always privileging the best that Alentejo has to offer. Our restaurant is accessible to people with reduced mobility, and has a private dining room where we can make cooking classes. We consider our gastronomy as traditional, although with a touch of sophistication. Alentejo's essence is present throughout our menu, where you can find local cheeses, sausages, olive oils, meats, herbs, honey and many other Alentejo products. Most of the products we use in our kitchen come from Alentejo, privileging the small local producers and the certified products. Our wine list is also focused on the great wines from Alentejo. We take into consideration all our clients' needs, and provide a menu with Vegetarian, Vegan and Gluten-free options. We believe that the honesty we put in the dishes is part of the essence of our kitchen, under the seal of Chef Duval Ferreira and the Vitória Stone Hotel brand.
