This place serves very traditional food in a small cafe with long tables with stools. No English spoken here but we figured it out. Very limited menu - chicken or sausage with fava (?) beans or salted cod. Everything was good though we didn't care for the cod. Maybe an acquired taste?

Tripadvisor lead us to try this local restaurant in Sines... why an old place like "Adega de Sines" was #1 in April/2017??? Well, you must go there the feel it with your senses. Really old place, with really human persons, and really true portuguese food home made and served in a traditional way too. The place is a bit small,... More

We went and tried Adega de Sines for a dinner meal. Many locals were coming by to get their meal to go and the atmosphere was familial and informal. We were received with beautiful smiles and warmth by the women of the house. Old Ti Luis had one grumpy face when two of my friends said they were vegetarians, but... More

This is a very simple and traditionel place. There is no gourmet at all, but it is very cheap, tastefull and a great memory.

This was a great experience in Sines. It was a place that both tourists and locals visit. The food is very simple. Chicken with fries, beef chunks with fries or deep fried fish with fries. I can't say that I enjoyed the overcooked fish but my wife had the beef and it was not bad. Don't expect great flavours but... More

Brilliant little bustling restaurant, amazing chicken and sardines served as they should be, very cheap and cheerful and always busy, be prepared to wait for a table especially lunchtimes, worth a visit

Authentic portugese kitchen. They showed us what's in the pots in the kitchen instead of having a translated menu. Very friendly people. Delicious portugese food.

Amazing place to visit if you're in Sines! Cozy place with authentic atmosphere, great simple food and a real bargain for the price. A daily menu with around five Portuguese dishes, being the grilled chicken the favourite one. It's almost always full, so better come early.

This place is right near the castle and we came across it by accident and we're glad we did. It's a modest family-run business that has a very limited menu but has a great authentic feel. It's quite small so the family can handle the work, not like some places that work their staff half to death by employing the... More

Don't stop on the threshold. Go inside and let them show you the food (they speak strictly portuguese so the lovely old lady takes you in the kitchen and let you choose from the pans like a favourite grandchild of hers), it's totally worth it. We had delicious pan cooked pork ribs with chips and an awesome apple mousse for... More
