I had Algarve carrots to start - I have had these elsewhere and enjoyed them very much and they were in good olive oil. Here the carrots were freezing cold out of the fridge and watery. As a main course I had 'bean clams' on xarem which is like grits. The clams were very small which did not matter but... More

Lovely people, lovely place. Near the city centre serving fine local food. Highly recommended. Some unusual dishes. I had the streak fish but have no idea what it was. Nice though!

Great staff, food and prices! I definitely recommend this if you want to try real Portuguese food. We had the fried octopus and it was great.

Just on the centre of Faro, close to the main church, a local restaurant with reliable service and good traditional dishes from the region of Algarve, mainly seafood dishes

Very good typical restaurant in Faro with traditional disthes. The arroz de lingueirão was excellent. It's a must here. The staff is very kind.

Happened upon this place. A bit hot and lack of air conditioning. However, food was good and plentiful. We had couvert, gaspacho, salada de polvo, xarem rico and bife da vitela mains. Too much food...a happy complaint. Actually, no complaints. Very good and enjoyed the meal. 3 courses water, wine and coffee for €40 for 2 people. Obrigado.

Happened on Taska by accident when the place we were actually heading was closed. Excellent discovery. Wonderful Algarvian food in a friendly setting. Great staff. Starter of Algarve version of Gazpacho was delicious followed by xarém with clams & prawns. Fab! Place filled up over time. Portions generous, and had the feel of home cooking. Very good home cooking though!... More

Every year I come back to this restaurant to eat the same dish: Xarém and Chocos com tinta. It is simply delicious! This is a very small and cozy restaurant with very nice and efficient staff. Let's not forget the amazing typical desserts - delicious!

We went there for a dinner on Saturday. The lace opens at 7pm and was fairly empty throughout the evening. They have a nice balcony/terrace upstairs. We ordered arroz de marisco (rice with seafood) and xalem(cornmeal, polenta) with clams and shrimps. The arroz was really tasty and nice, while xalem was disappointing. I am not sure but the reason might... More

Located in Faro, this small and cozy restaurant offers some interesting options of traditional Algarvian and Portuguese gastronomy. It has a friendly service. The desserts are well made and very tasty. The price-quality ratio is fair.
