Made a trip to Monchique especially for a sunset birthday dinner in this highly recommended restaurant and it didn’t disappoint! The staff were welcoming, the food on point and the view spectacular! We indulged to the point we couldn’t breathe - the portions are generous...so go with an appetite!! Highly recommend the oven cooked specials like oxtail or black pork cheek which melt in your mouth. Book in advance - it’s busy even on a weekday in early tourist season. Thank you for a lovely dinner guys!More

This is without doubt the most wonderful surprise restaurant of the last decade. A true dining gem high up in the Monchique mountains. With great views. It was immediately obvious how popular (booking essential for weekends) this great dining brand is. Staff were brilliantly friendly....Despite the stress of managing the large numbers (and queues) for this Sunday brunch. There were four of us. While each of us had different, all excellent, dishes .... the lamb and daily special (fish) were at a different level of excellence. All portions were generous. Prices were also very reasonable. House wines of great quality relative to the prices. From the dessert menu the chocolate mousse was up there as one of the best, in my experience We will definitely be back and look forward to bringing friends to what we consider a very special dining venue.More

The level of service from this restaurant is unsurpassed in Monchique. Staff that are not only friendly but also extremely knowledgeable about the menu. Super cosy atmosphere since their facelift and extremely high quality food. I hadn’t eaten here for a while and it is...definitely back on my list for somewhere special and comfortable to take any of my visitors and friends.More

Excellent quality of ingredients and a very imaginative menu. A good chef. Fine - if a little fast a times - service. Great experience!

Great food and wine, not cheap for Portugal but well worth it, would definitely go back. Fresh ham and local specialties on menu as starters, recommend grilled shrimp with tuna kebab

We had the most fabulous meal in this lovely lovely mountain hideaway! We had the grilled octopus, bull steak and lamb pincanta. We also had a fabulous red wine from the Douro region of Portugal. Everything was amazingly reasonably priced, wonderfully prepared and very nicely...served. Big portions and great food.More

Staying in Monchique for a couple of days, we went to this restaurant for lunch and diner. Lunch was very good with a wondefull view on montains. Chorizo with quail eggs, grilled pork were very good. Only the casa red wine was not good. Dinner,...we had soup and chorizo again, then grilled tuna and shrimps too salty: And this time a Pacheca red wine, more expensive but good. Both time, I finished with a mousse de manga, excellent!More

Great views, super service and good food. There is not a lot more to say. We arrived without booking around 2pm and were lucky that some people had just left a seat with a side window view. Friendly helpful service I would highly recommend the...starter of mushrooms in port and honeyMore
