The friends we are staying with in Alvor came up trumps again. Fonte De Pedra ia about a 20 minute drive from Alvor and we sat outside in the sunshine and had a lovely lunch at inexpensive prices. Nice menu with plenty of choice and chefs specials.

We went for Sunday lunch and we were really impressed. Great welcome and this is family country who enjoy meeting people. We had fresh sea bass, wild boar curry and pork and every dish was cleared with relish. What a lovely place to relax and meet people from all walks of life. As for the cost, it's at the lower... We went out for dining and wining with a group of friends. Within the set menu we still had a wide choice. It look that everyone was eating something else. I had a turbot, which was prepared very well.None of the group was disappointed. The wine was of good quality and the set menu, including wine was cheap. We will... More

Having found that our 1st choice Restaurant was closed decided to stop here. 6 of us all decided to choose the E17 lunchtime special menu which included generous covers, god choices of starters, main courses and sweets. Added bonus the wine was not only cheap but good. The staff were helpful and friendly. Although it would have been nice to sot... More

Excellent fish and tomato salad and not leat perfect wine from Tras-os-Montes and Esparao. A perfect dinner with friends. Try the figs for dessert and a Medronjo with the coffee.

We visited Fonte de Pedra a couple of times during our week long holiday. Carlos, Victoria and all the staff made us feel very welcome and the food we ordered ie Chicken curry, wild boar curry, lamb stew, fish kebab was all absolutely delicious. Fernando and his organ provided the music and what a laugh we all had singing along... More

So the food is really good but after waiting 1h30m to eat there's not enough quality to make we forget the wait. If there's no conditions to open with enough staff in other months besides July and August just be serious with your costumers and close it. So sad that such good food don't have the same experience level on... More
