The “A Sagres” is a restaurant, located in the village with the same name. It never disappoints! We always stop by, each year, and the quality remains the same: 5 stars. A menu with a good variety, going from the meat and vegetarian courses, to...fish from local suppliers and desserts. The meals are well served with more than enough, even for the starved teenager. Very very very slow and unprofessional service. We waited half an hour for the water and wine. Then, we had to wait one hour for the main course and when it arrived on the table the waiter didn’t apologize. The food wasn’t good since the...tuna was undercooked, the fries were clearly frozen and defrosted poorly. The table next to us had the same problem and no one apologized either.More

We had a late lunch here which was excellent. The staff were friendly and efficient and the food was very good. We would return another time. Closed on Mondays.

We were lucky enough to find this quaint warm restaurant during our stay in Sagres. It was so good we went came back another night. The owner was extremely welcoming and friendly. Service was excellent and the food superb. Over the two nights we dined...here we tried many different dishes and all were incredibly delicious. Would highly recommend any of the catch of the day, fish soup, fish and seafood rice, any of the prawn dishes, the clams, and yes, even the A Sagres beefsteak. I doubt you would go wrong with anything on the menu. We are a family of six and A Sagres was everyone's favorite restaurant on our 2 week Spain/Portugal trip. I highly recommend a visit and can't wait to return someday.More

Fantastic place to enjoy local cuisine- let the staff there be your guide, they know what to recommend. We had an idea of what we wanted and asked our server for advice on fine tuning our choices. We enjoyed everything, from the olives and bread...to the wine and seafood.More

After a long hike we found this little spot just as we entered Sagres and sat outside for lunch. The staff were friendly, prompt and attentive and were clearly well practised in their roles. The food was fresh with great quality ingredients and well presented....we had some lovely pasta dishes and a starter portion of clams that was enough for main course.We left vowing to return as soon as we can.More

We were so happy to find the new restaurant Calme at this location. Super friendly, helpful service and wonderful food. We drive all the way back from Lagos for a dinner just based in happening by for a couple of beers the day before. Grilled...seafood platter was stupendous! Too much for 2 people especially after having had the cheeseboard and squid fritters in black octopus sauce lol. You will not regret eating here! Good luck to the new team on their adventure!More

A warm and friendly welcome to a nice restaurant with a fire inside. The food was great, reasonably priced and served quickly. Bottle of sparkling wine also a bargain. We would love to go back

Excellent...the service and the food it's just simply great. The gentleman who served us, his care was very tender and the food was great home cooking. The dessert was finished, but he offered the staff dessert free ..very humble and gentle touch. Thank you

Very friendly place to eat. The owner was very kind and hostful. We tried the stuffed squid which is very popular in this restaurant. It was good but not perfect - 7/10. Also, we tried octopus rice (serving for 2 people) but it wasn’t that...great and lacked a flavour. Although, the serving was very big and 4 of tasted it. I would say 6/10. Overall, the place is great.More
