Was told by locals this is one of the best places to get fresh seafood by the locals. They have a wide range of fish, shellfish and even have the local delicacy precebes. Everything was fresh and delicious. Similar in style to Ramiro in Lisbon....Scarlet shrimp to die for!More

Was looking for a place for lunch, stopped one place and waited 10 minutes with no response so left and found Marisqueira and are glad we did. Service was excellent and fish, salad, veg and dessert were all terrific. Both of had grilled sea bass special,...dessert with coffee and shared a bottle of wine for under 40 Euros. If you want traditional Portuguese food done well, I recommend you give it a try if in Silves. We were also pleased they were checking vaccination records as many restaurants are not.More

Excellent food, very friendly and helpful staff, did I mention the food was excellent? Everything, from the warm and soft bread rolls you get while waiting for your food, with home made garlic mayonnaise, and the fish soup and the Cataplana with hot sauce on...the side. It's all very simple but so so delicious.More

We had a rice with fish and shellfish, it had no flavor at all. Maybe they didn't know how to cook the rice, because there was a lot of fish and shellfish, and cooking all together with the rice is almost impossible to make it...so bad, as it was billed in water. It's was the worst rice I have ever hadMore

What a wonderful place - we ate the most gorgeous, fresh and well cooked seafood with such a lot of options and unusual things to try. And all served with humour and friendliness. Started with a hot roll and garlic Mayo then the most incredible...platter, clams x 3, prawns x 2 (the tigers are superb), lobster, crab and the king of the lot - percebes, which I’ve never had but were delicious. It was so good I went back alone three days later and had it again! Not the cheapest but if you get the platter I think it’s good value - 90euros for two people, and it’s more than enough. Lovely lovely place. Nice wine. A gem xMore

Great seafood, very fresh and perfectly cooked. Great and friendly service. Definitely one of the best restaurants we have visited in Portugal. If you like crab and lobster, definitely try :-)!

This restaurant was recommended to us by our hotel and it didn’t disappoint. The service is friendly and quick. We had amazing fish - especially the fish cataplana. We even asked for the shellfish to be taken out because of an allergy and they were...very attentive about that. We came back a second time during our week in Algarve.More

A very typical Portuguese restaurant. Food is well prepared. Staff is incredibly efficient. I don’t know how, but looks like staff are always looking to your table. They provide everything almost immediately.

We ate in this Restauraunt tonight. After all the bill boards and advertising we thought that we were in for a treat ! What a disappointment ! We ordered prawns fried in garlic as a share starter and the fish cataplana for shared mains with...a bottle of house red The prawns were over cooked with little or no garlic butter or oil. Not acceptable even for a roadside cafe! The cataplana had two good very large prawns but the rest of the fish was a very cheap and not so tasty heavy bones white fish . The sauce however was tasty but we were expecting a very tasty flavoursome well presented meal! Wow were we so disappointed. Give it a miss unless they upgrade the whole shop!More
