This is the only restaurant on the whole island of Corvo, so I would take it as a given. The food was good, the service was attentive and friendly, albeit we consider the prices to be on the higher end compared to other islands.

From what I understand this is the only restaurant in Corvo, beside the hotel maybe. So if you are staying overnight, like is, this might be your only opinion. Luckily its an good opinion. The staff is friendly, the food is ok and the sea...view with sunset is very nice.More
Amazing dining experience with a wide range of quality dishes in one of the most remote territories in the Atlantic. With a a doubt a must go when in Corvo
Honestly, it’s the best place to see the sunset. At the other hand, I think they try to be a middle class restaurant and I think it doesn’t work on a island of 430 habitants. The fish was 20 euros, the fish was good but...not a lot. The potatoes were not fresh (maybe of lunch) the carrots were like frozen once ... so really? Honestly I walked the caldeira and down to the city, so I was really hungry. And I wasn’t full. Even the typical Portuguese starters like bread butter etc missed. Make it simple, you don’t need to make high class at Corvo! Make it typical and local! At a spot like Corvo I would expect such a typical basic place. That would be nice. I stay with the unique sunset!More
Summer day with traditional summer food!! A season dish with season fish. Mackerel🐟 or chicharros has they call it! Everything was super!
We went twice to this restaurant and each time greatly enjoyed the taste and presentation of the dishes we ordered: stuffed pepper, vegetable tagliatelle (that was our favorite!), tuna steak and beef steak. The food is freshed and (too) abundant. We appreciated the very moderate...cost although this is the only one restaurant on the island. The view on the ocean and the sunset is marvellous.More
This one of the few restaurants in Corvo's Island. We ate tuna steak (14€) and a mixed of squid and shrimps (16€). The tuna was fantastic and come with salted vegetable that were amazing. The prices are like the rest of Azores, everything around 13/18€....The service is normal, don't expect a affordable waiter, he's profissional and not much of a talker. If you want to eat at Corvo, this is probably the best restaurant.More
A new building, just by side the old one, with a great view. The new Caldeirão is much more comfortable and good looking, you have a bar at the entrance and after the restaurant. At lunch you have a good buffet and at dinner the...service is a la carte. The staff is very gentle and professional. Can’t wait to came back in summer to enjoy the terrace.More
Very good local fish. Not a lot of choice, but very tasty. Low price for big portions. Recommended to visit!
We ate here both nights of our stay on Corvo. Given the remote location, a good choice of food and we enjoyed some fish that were new to us. The restaurant will soon be relocated a small distance due to the airport rebuild.
There are only two on the island and the food is not bad. Homemade and fresh. The owner is very friendly.
The service was good; our hostess spoke English and helped with my choice of fish. We went to lunch and dinner twice (they are closed on Tuesday). Large portions, good wine list, reasonable prices - and a good view of the ocean. What's not to...like? The owner also spoke some English, very pleasant fellow. This was a pleasant experience; highly recommended.More
I enjoyed three delicious dinners at O Cardeirao. The service was friendly and efficient. Food was freshly cooked and with large helpings Located between the airport runway (don't worry there are so few flights that noise is not an issue) and the cliff top, there...are great views across the sea to Flores - when the weather permits. Very friendly bar area RecommendedMore
I've been to this place ever since my first visit to Corvo in 2009. It has a new owner since July this year as it was shut in 2013. Things have got significantly better since my first visit - they used to kill the vegetables...and the fish they served used to be all frozen. Despite being right by the sea! Anyway, times are changing and despite the limited supplies - salad and fresh vegetables are often scarce commodities on Corco - I was treated to some nice fresh fish and lulas (squid). Everything does come with fries unfortunately but the service is friendly, the wine and beer is good to. Good cheese and bread served prior to the meal too.More
Possibly the best caldeirao in the Azores - not quite as dramatic in scale as Sete Citades, but the remoteness and natural beauty on this lost island is second to none. Just be patient though, as it can sometimes be shrouded in fog for days...- apparently northerly winds are best to blow the fog away.More
