Really, really great food. We had fillets with octopus rice, prawn rice with dried garlic and beef "à Batel". If there was more, the more we had eaten. For dessert try the coconut and egg pudding. Don't miss O Batel restaurant if you're in town. Be aware, seats limited, so be on time.

The restaurant mimics the atmosphere of a boat. It is a small, very original place. The fish is served by weight, and is simple, but really tasty. The side is also very tasty. The service is really good. The price is a bit high for what is served, but is worth the experience.

A small restaurant in Aveiro. Come early or make a reservation! Very friendly service, they explain everything well and give advice when needed. Clams as starter where excellent! A place for fish lovers!

In Aveiro, pretty much all seafood and fish is totally fresh and awesome, so is O Batel. They have a really nice dish that include the seasoned rice and seafood. Good restuarant, quiet choice indoors.

On the first day in Aveiro I wanted to have a dinner here. Because it was crowded, I didnt have chance to get a table and had to reserve for the following day. Then I went back and had a pleasure to try the fish. I like the fish, but the one whose taste is different from other places is... More

My boyfriend and I went to this restaurant and although the food was okay, we had to wait for it for 1.5 hour. After an hour the waitress came to ask what we had ordered an hour ago, so it was clear they had forgotten about us.

We ate here three times during our stay in Aveiro. The seafood here is just amazing. We tried mostly the seafood and rice meals for two people. We were not disappointed. How Ivania gets so much flavour into the food, I'll never know. It is out of this world and the best seafood we have ever eaten, and it is... More

Nice Restaurant in the heart of Aveiro. You must booked before you go only 10 tables served. This restaurant is popular for fish but they have also good meat. Try the local bacalao with crispy bread and all fresh fishes of the day. Good wine list from 10€ the bottle. Many nice starters for food lovers like octopus, cod fish salad... More

What can I say... From the min we entered to the restaurant this was a pure pleasure. Starting with an exceptional service and continuing with best dinner we had up to now in Portugal. Not mentioning the prices that are more than reasonable!!
