We had a dinner there last week. In the working section of Coimbra. We were the only people in the place when we got here. Kind of an early dinner. We had the roasted pork, a nice salad, some fries.....it was all delicious. The waitstaff was super friendly. We felt like family. It's a very casual place. Really hit the... More

This place was right around the corner from our airbnb. We went in for a snack and got a half piglet that came with French fries and salads. Pork was super tender and the salted garlic sauce complimented the main dish. The older gentleman was so friendly, he came over several times to make sure we were ok and poured... More

We came in for lunch to try the spit roasted piglet (Leitao) and we were not disappointed. Don't be put off by the rustic appearance of this place, the food is delicious and our waiter was very friendly. We had some of the house white wine which was slightly fizzy and tasted great. Also the price was very reasonable. Definitely... More

Beautiful pork sandwich, juicy and tasty with bits of crackling in a fresh roll. Couldn't eat anything more afterwards! Good value for money.

Don't order a drink (2.50 Euros !) The sandwich was OK at 3.50 (a bit too salty, but tender) - not that large

A must stop, every single time I pass by Coimbra. Either for a quick sandwich, or taking your time with family and friends.

My husband and I just had one hour to have lunch and shop in this lovely town. We both enjoyed the suckling pig sandwich. The two fellows that waited on us were very friendly... They offered us each a "gift" of a little glass of Porto on the way out. It was the perfect lunch spot.

In the heart of Coimbra, this is a typical restaurant that is specialized in the piglet (small pig) meals. Should try the sandwish of this. It's authentic and it's well served.

We had a three course meal here & really enjoyed ourselves. We had the soup, followed by suckling pig, then almond desert. The chips & salad were also very nice. The two guys that run the place were very friendly & made our visit worthwhile. The seating is a bit basic, but the food more than compensates for this. The... More

We went for lunch and the thought of having a pork sandwich. Instead we ordered the soup, a salad, and the pork dish which seemed to be the specialty of the house. The soup was a generous portion and tasty as was the mixed salad. The roast pig (1/2 portion) came on a plate with lettuce & orange slices as... More
