I don't usually frequent Irish bars when abroad because there are plenty of them at home. This was recommended to us by a Portuguese waiter who served us in Jardim dos Frangos. He reckoned it was more of a genuine Irish Bar than O'Neills down by the beach. He was right. It's a fairly quiet spot but the staff are... More

I visited this pub for two days last week and really enjoyed it. Although their local craft beer Pato should come with a warning. I had 3 pints and you would swear I had 10. Good stuff. It has a very authentic feel to the place (unlike O'Neills nearby which is about as Irish as Ronaldo) and it seems here... More

It was a late Sunday in November and usually they say you need reservations for their Sunday lunch special (roast beef or lamb). I went with some friends and we all opted for the roast beef. It is basically sliced beef like a "steamship roast" at a cafeteria / restaurant in the US. It is not prime rib but good... More

We found this little bar very convenient for a beer for and after dinner. We will definitely be going back this year.

Excellent spot to grab a pint. Unpretentious and laid back. My husband and I love to grab a pint here. Good crowd. No pressure to drink quickly or buy lots of pints. We sit in a corner and enjoy the authentic Irish surroundings. They offer sandwiches as well.

Popped in for a pre-prandial pint last night. Have been to this place several time but never wrote a review. Great authentic Irish pub, with a very unstuffy atmosphere. Even the Portuguese get into the spirit and chat to strangers here. Sunday lunch is highly recommended - but book well in advance. They have recently stocked a draft ale made... More

Called into this pub for a drink and a snack. Had a sandwich which was lovely, well presented and full of really fresh ingredients. My friend had a Guinness which I was assured was superb. I had one (or 2) Irish Coffees which were among the best I have ever had. The young lady who was serving was a delight.... More

Well done to everyone who took part in a 20k walk for Cystic Fibrosis recently from O'luains Irish Bar, we enjoyed our visit there, and the staff were great, enjoyed the food and the craic. Great music by Ivor. Thank you for your support of Cystic Fibrosis Ireland.
